| Got to say the programme at Keighley this season is the worst ive ever bought theres local amateur sides that have better content than yours, glossy front cover thats about biggest plus point no lineups page and absolute nothing on the visitors, followed by page after page of sponsers I understand that clubs at our level make money from these but it was like a sponsers leaflet you get through your front door.

| We are just the fans...... a phone call / letter / email to the club would have been a better idea , it isn't like anything can be done about it on a fans forum is it ??????

I had a look at one and have to say it is very poor.
I may be wrong on this, but i think its one from the RFL and not really ours.
If i am wrong someone will point it out.

If it's the "GO Cougars" one I can't disagree.
I bought one earlier on in the season and felt ripped off. There was barely 2 pages of journalistic content and about 20 pages of adverts.
I do wonder why the club put their name and reputation to such rubbish. Either do it properly or don't bother.

| I,ve got to agree with the Town supporter on this. Ours is the worst programme in the league by a long, long way. There is no player statistics showing how many games each player has played, thier tries etc, no list of results for the season, virtually nothing on the opposition, no articles, nothing about the past except when they occasionally ask John to do a bit on past results, but nothing of any substance. What is worst though is that the main reason most people buy a programme is for the teams, and that seems to be something we have forgotten. As far as I know nobody has ever produced a programme in 100 year of the game without a teamsheet.
it's a poor effort, that is not beffiting of a proffesional club.

| I have to agree with the Town fan as the Go Cougars programme that I bought contains one small mention of our visitors in the Chairmans notes and another small mention in the Head coaches notes, both not even adding up to a paragraph.. There is no mention of their players at all but yet there are 7 pages about Cougars players. There is a team sheet but it only lists Cougar players!!!!!!!! No mention of officials and to say it is self centred is putting it mildly. It certainly wasn't worth the £2 paid.

| The Cougars should withdraw the programme as it is an embarrassment.
You may find it hard to believe but it is considerably better than the effort produced for the first match. That was 100% a book of adverts.
Now it is only 95% adverts.
The Club has done lots to improve all sorts of things throughout the year and can maybe do only one miracle at a time. Although not in his terms of reference I am sure JD will raise this when other priorities have been looked at. Also Rob is a bloke who listens to fans and reads forums and I would bet money he is also embarrassed by the standard of programme and I expect he is probably looking into this.

I am not surprised this is already in hand. The Club had made some cracking off the field signings this year including Rob and Mary and whilst in the short term there may be higher priorities that need there attention, you can be sure they will be putting their expertise and enthusiastic towards items such as this.

| Which was the favourite Cougars programme of recent years? Rach did a great one a season or two ago and Mike Ford did his famous fanzine type in the 1990s. Remember 'In The Bath With Cath' and 'Fantastic'?

| Think 'Lawkholme Len ' is doing himself a dis-service here , as some of his early 2000 programme offerings were also quality !

simpsons/simp048.gif I have only been wrong once and thats because I thought I was wrong but I was wrong I was right!
Petty authoritarians aren’t man enough to challenge the actions of a person face to face; instead they incite a forum of rumour, innuendo and half truths, and impose rude sanctions to discourage those who dare question fairness.

| Some of the programmes form the 90's early 2000 were amongst the best in RL IMO. They were factual, informative and amusing. I used to buy one every home game. I wouldn't waste my money on the modern offering.

It would be great if we had a really good regular fanzine on sale. I know that I would definitely buy it.
Unfortunately with the lower crowds these days, the demand might not be there to justify all the effort that someone will go to when editing it and so on.
