| Probably because quality half backs are in demand and there's not a many of them around.
We tried for Neil Roden but he chose to stay at Oldham. We brought Ryan Smith and Paul Drake in and have Luke Helliwell also.
Drake's never played at this level and Smith and Helliwell don't have a huge amount of experience. We also have a rookie head coach.
I think it's wrong to judge these guys after 3 pre season games and 3 NRC games. Judge them later on in the season when they've had time to gel.

| We need to give the new guys a chance before everybody stars complaining. Luke Helliwell is a very promising player who has impressed in both the first team games he has played. I thought that on Saturday he brought a new dimension to our play, helping us to play a more expansive game. Ryan Smith was a regular in the Dewsbury team that went unbeaten two years ago. Paul Drake as already stated is new to this level, but has shown that he has an excellent kicking game.
I think that the three of them will have a big part to play in our season
I heard a few people moaning on saturday, but I think they were underestimating the opposition. Toulouse were better than the other times we have played them, and we won't play another team who plays with such pace again this season. They were in a completely different class to Rochdale and remember this time last year we lost in a similar manner to them.

| Good grief some of the moaning on here recently by various posters who like everyone else is entitled to opinions, however it is becoming a similar vein to the Bulls forum you would think the world had come to an end.
Give the players a break, once season proper under way then start criticising. For me Drake will do very well this season whilst not the fastest he has good rugby brain and kicking game very good too.

| I was stood in a different place to where i normally stand at match day. I couldnt believe how much moaning there actually was. Why cant people get behind there local team for a change and stop the moaning about the half backs. As we are use to the 2 quality half backs we have had over the past fews years the new halfs have alot to do in order to be has good as jones and presley. They need time in order to gel and get use to playing together on more of a regular basis. These things dont just happen over night.
One thing that was dissapointing was the kicking aspect of the game. Every time we kick it always went down the throat of either the full back or one of the two wingers.
On the other hand i thought Ben Sagar was man of the match, i thought he had an outstanding game and should be played more often.
