I doubt he will get another Super League contract tbf. He was very average at the end of last season. Obst may get a deal midway through the season, but I doubt Semi will. They will both do a very good job for you, and I wish them all the best icon_smile.gif Hopefully some of us Wakey fans will come to Cougar Park a couple of times next year to watch the lads play, and to also help your attendances icon_wink.gif Best of luck for the new season fellas!!

Tadulala is past it and to be honest crap. Sure Keighley could have got a Dual reg player who would be better to be honest. Obst is for me the signing of the championship and would even say he is better than Fisher at Batley. Korkidas also has done nothing for years. Glad you havent burst a gut to sign them as they will not bring you much. The Championship is a very tough League and Keighley will not find it so easy as your Chairman thinks.

Oh well, lets not bother watching Cougars this season and bow to the expertise that isn't Black Cat. Cherryholme a plodder as you say was one of Fax's best players when you won the grand final. Danny Jones deserved MOM on most of the occasions fax were on Sky. I doubt your assessment of Tadulala is any better as you obviously watch the game with your head up your behind.

There is every point in watching Keighley this year and they will go OK. But this is a very tough League with most teams strengthened from last year. Danny Jones is too slow and cant organize. He is OK but is not as good as the likes of Black, Finn, Grimshaw, Handforth etc. He will do OK but thats not enough if your Chairman wants to win a Trophy. Cherryholme rarely breaks a tackle, not great at offloading though is good in defence. If you want to make him out to be a great player thats your opinion but he is average. If Fax lose on Boxing Day so what-first its a meaningless friendly and second wont have their strongest sound out anyway. Friendlies are just a way to see how the team and players are doing and what needs to be worked on.

Wow lucky , thanks for such positive remarks , may have been a better idea to just say " good luck for net season" instead of all that doom and gloom icon_biggrin.gifEPRESSED: icon_biggrin.gifEPRESSED: icon_biggrin.gifEPRESSED: icon_biggrin.gifEPRESSED: icon_biggrin.gifEPRESSED: icon_biggrin.gifEPRESSED: icon_biggrin.gifEPRESSED: icon_biggrin.gifEPRESSED: icon_biggrin.gifEPRESSED: icon_biggrin.gifEPRESSED: icon_biggrin.gifEPRESSED: icon_biggrin.gifEPRESSED: icon_biggrin.gifEPRESSED: icon_biggrin.gifEPRESSED:

Or maybe they're a Halifax fan.....

I think a few people have been sucked in to what was a pretty decent bit of trolling to be honest. And bought it hook, line and sinker.

I'm sure they were a fax fan, they mostly criticised ex fax players. I think our squad has depth, and I'm most excited to see our younger players benefit from the super league experience that's in. Danny looked good for Wales and I saw some good plays lead by briers. I expect Sam will be directing a lot of our plays. I am optimistic, but I will be realistic that it is a tough league and anything could happen.
Bring em on!

Perhaps 'The Lucky Black Cat' can explain why 'fax were so desperate to sign Danny Jones when, in their opinion he is too slow and cant organize'"
[sic].

Was it because he was theOnly one Professional Rugby League Player in the UK has scored in each of his team 2009 matches. He is a Keighley Cougar - Danny Jones'"

rlhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v

Whatever 'The Lucky Black Cat' says, we liked him at the Cougars and were sorry to lose him 'over the hill'.

I know I am new to this forum and you do not know me. Time sits heavy on us down here; a friend of a friend is a Cougar and it sorta became infectious. However, looking at things logically (from a distance & less involved) and with JD's comments - if someone isn't up to scratch & don't perform (a) they won't play & (b) they won't get any money. So it's up to them & JD has put together a squad that gives him options - does it not my friends? a046.gif A pragmatic & fortunate position to be in I think. Many thanks to the person who contacted me via PM re match report. Thanks.

Calland was for some reason wanting to sign anybody who had played in Fax academy or had links with Fax- Jones was one. Another was Ryan Clayton who was really poor. Gannon, Smith etc were other old boys. Josh Barlow was another but is half decent and still young. Sadly Jones has done nothing for Fax in both his times there. He didnt really organize and struggled when playing Fev, Leigh, Sheffield and Batley. He offered very little. Thats why Harrison was happy to let him go as there was much better on offer in Handforth and Thackeray-though I do think Fev have the best halfbacks. I am glad for Keighley that they like Jones as he is a nice lad and will give his best. Also glad to see you back in the Championship. But this League is very tough as you can see by the tables over the past couple of years. There are no real easy games and if you get slack you will be punished-as Fax found last year for example. Batley, Sheffield, Leigh, Swinton, York etc will make life very difficult whether you be Fev, fax or keighley. You will enjoy the season as no game is a certain win and the standards are quite high as well as entertaining.

Thanks 'LBC' but have you forgotten that we played in the Championship in 2010?

Unfortunately, we started on minus 9 points then, with a team that mainly consisted of the players that won promotion from C1. We know how tough a competition the Championship is and with a new player-coach at the helm we believe that we will be a completely different team this time round.
