| Quote: Leyther_Matt "Would say you're better off staying at the Ibis opposite the station; only 5-10 minutes walk from the other one, and the rooms are substantially bigger.
Jet2 do flights from Leeds-Bradford to that region, don't they? BMI Baby fly Wednesday's, Friday's and Sunday's from Manchester, RyanAir on Thursday's, Saturday's and Sunday's from Liverpool.'"
Jet 2 do fly from Yeadon to Toulouse, but only between Late May and Late September.
Ryanair are starting flights from Yeadon to Carcassone the week after our game and are only doing Wednesday/Sunday flights there out of Liverpool because it's not peak season.
Cheapest flying wise i've found is either going via Amsterdam from Manchester or going from gatwick.
Because of the time of year it's a pain in the backside.

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg |

| I fancy going, staying the night before the game, and the night of the game itself. Not sure how to get there yet, although flying is the obvious one.
By train, SC? How does that pan out, time and cost-wise?

| The best way i think is fly Friday morning from East Midlands to Carcassone then you fly back Monday morning, for the flight and 3 nights in Ibis it is around £130 per person.
i have looked at all other possible ways to get there from other airports you can fly from Bristol thats about it.
It is worth the trip it is good laugh over there hope we can take a good following

simpsons/simp048.gif I have only been wrong once and thats because I thought I was wrong but I was wrong I was right!
Petty authoritarians aren’t man enough to challenge the actions of a person face to face; instead they incite a forum of rumour, innuendo and half truths, and impose rude sanctions to discourage those who dare question fairness.

If you go the quickest way on the early Kings Cross train (0601) on the Friday but the price is ridiculous. You'd arrive in Toulouse around half 7 in the evening their time though.
Friday is also dearer for Eurostar but this below so this was the the best I could find pricewise. (Based on March 5th as prices for 19th not available yet)
1040 Leeds-King Cross arr 1310
1502 St Pancras-Paris Gare du Nord arr 1917 (local time)
2256 Paris Austerlitz-Toulouse Matabiau arr 0643 Saturday morning.
This cost just short of £90 but two thirds of that was the Eurostar because they seem to double their prices for the weekend.

| Not sure if anyone's posted this but it worked out cheapest for some last year flying in to Carcassone then about a half hour train ride in to Toulouse.

| Looked at flights last night and we can get flights from Bristol - Toulouse, Toulouse - Bristol, flying out Friday and back on Sunday with easyjet, for less than £91 for two people, which seems pretty cheap. Of no use to anyone else I realise that, hope you can all get it sorted be it train or plane.

If you can bothered to get to Southampton I think it's even cheaper. But again, I'm going off last season.

Anyone seriously think it would be a good idea to get a coach sorted? Probably about 24 hours on the coach or something, but surely it would be a good laugh with the help of alcohol all the way?

| I think a train trip sounds like a laugh, making it a two-night away trip (saturday/sunday nights). SC, I presume that rough price you quoted was a return?
