No.
Cougars made Richard Moore a better offer than any other Championship club. It was just that at the last minute he got a 1 year offer from Wakefield to prolong his full-time career with them. Shame, would have been a fantastic signing but I still expect to see him as a Keighley player in 12 months max.

As regards to was this a ploy to sell more season tickets. If you support the club you should buy a season ticket anyway. Doesn't matter whether we are signing big names or bringing under 20s through. Big names mean big money and big money signings drop clubs in the S**T.
Good on the club for trying to sell more season tickets, they shouldn't be having to try ploys to sell them anyway.

Hmm I don't agree with your points about blind loyalty and being a supporter means laying out money on a season ticket. Being a supporter of a club is a two way street, the supporter pays their money and the rugby club should be providing a product on the field which deserves the support. At the moment people have to make hard choices about where to spend their hard earned cash and a season ticket for Keighley may not be top of most people's priorities. Personally, as a lover of rugby league, I've spent alot of my money recently on getting World Cup game tickets which have been real value for money.... something which Keighley tickets rarely are!!

I don't want big name signings, they don't often turn out well, I just want to see a team with some direction and invention. A bit of fight and creation. A spark. All are things that Keighley have lacked recently.

And on the Richard Moore front, I'm pleased we didn't get him, we would have hardly got any games out of him anyway. Funnily enough, one player that I would've fancied JD has taken to Australia... Tyrone Mcarthy. I wonder if Keighley might have been in with a shout for him if JD was still around?

The key word being team. A good team utilises it's strengths and weaknesses of it's players to mutual advantage and benefit to all. It's not easy that is for sure.

Paul March has the job of doing this with his staff to ensure it happens.

The players also have a responsibility to ensure it happens.

If it clicks, and with successful teams it does, then everyone is happy.

If it doesn't happen but it is obvious that everyone has done their level best but other teams were better at the time then most supporters would be happy.

It's when none of that happens or just a few putting in what is required that generally people are very unhappy especially those putting the hard work which is not reciprocated by others. You then do not have a team.

Not easy though.

I have it on good authority that the Cougars were interested in signing Richard Moore but unfortunately it didnt come off, I dont think the fans were being duped, sometimes bids can be unsuccessful no matter how good the offer

What's the chances of Keighley Cougars getting Richard Moore on loan?
