Quote: Mick W. "He's always good for a laugh, though.
Why is there so much bile and envy coming from York fans in general? We don't seem to have this problem with any other fans.'"
He's good for laughing at.
The reason for them being jealous is simple.
Keighley, small working class town heavily reliant on a manufacturing industry that's fooked. However still has a relatively successful Rugby League team which revolutionised the entire sport 20 years ago.
York, a city with over 2000 years worth of history including the Romans, the Vikings and one of the most spectacular cathedrals in all of Europe. Full of rich middle class people and an economy relying on the millions of tourists travelling to buy the special hand designed linen tablecloths, known as Marchware, which are unique to the city. However York has a shambolic history when you consider they're the 6th largest city in England with a professional Rugby League team yet only around 3 out of every 500 inhabitants can be bothered to go and watch.
