We, Leigh, played our strongest available team yesterday. Going to FT has had a huge impact on size and skill, you didn't roll over down the middle we just threw the ball about and ran you ragged on the back of a high completion rate.

Thanks for that Maurice, I predict big things for Leigh this season, last season was a good one for you and you have built on this with more great signings.

Well, Paul Handforth didn't play. Jode Sheriffe and Daley Williams are both out for a little while. Gav Duffy hasn't featured in either game so far.

Well I hope Marchy analyses the video and comes up with a way to avoid conceding tries in the style of any of those 16 we conceded. Having seen results of some of the other friendlies, I really feel like we need to prove something against Swinton. C'mon Cougars, let's use this as a kick up the bottom and take League 1 by storm.

I think we should keep an eye on Leigh again this coming weekend. I understand they're playing Oldham at the LSV. It will be interesting to compare how the Roughyeds get on with our own thrashing.

I wasn't at Leigh but I did go to Barrow and there were some pretty big holes in our defensive line in that game, especially in the second half. We always seem to have a problem defending our line and don't seem to have that 'YOU'RE NOT GETTING THROUGH US' mentality. Some work required there.

See NWC beat Batley quite well too - at Batley. They looked good last season and that is a great result for them. I'm really not sure we should have that 'favourites' tag. We need to do something to earn it first. Oh well, roll on Sunday and the Lions. I will be there and hoping for a win this time - and a well-defended Cougars tryline.

Firstly Don't know where you get your comment about Bradford , in no way were they mentioned in my post , actually was going to post that Leigh would win the Championship , with no problems...but if you want to put words into my mouth without substance , ...your problem ....

Secondly, yes I have posted on your message board inthe past , in the main praising the performance of your reserve team who due to a family member playing for the cougars U20s, I've seen play a fair bit over the past two seasons , Josh Ward and Chris Hankinson ,especially who've impressed me before their move to Barrow ...

Thirdly I wouldnt dream of going on another teams board and slagging off their performance , end of ..ok we wern't that good but I'm certain that no player goes on that field thinking I'll just p**s it off for 80 mins , I played the game for 15 years and I've coached junior RL and whatever your view I've never ever know a player go on the field with that attitude , and calling any player who puts themselves in a pro environment ' pathetic' is a massive insult ..

Inever said YOU posted things about Bradford , I said some Cougar fans have , and if needed I couls find them , don't come the Holier than Thou attitude , again im not really concerned what you think of the Centurions or if you post on our message board , that's your choice ,as for slagging teams performances off , I pay my money its my opinion , I was witness to what a couple of the Keighley players said to one another after a couple of the tries scored against them , I wouldn't say who said these remarks but they were far from complimentary , and again I was sat next to a couple of Cougar Fans who had the same views as me , just because im not a Cougars Fan doesn't mean I cant have an opinion of them .

It won't be anywhere near the same team you lads played. You had the misfortune to come up against virtually our first 17. Paul Rowley has already said that he has a few carrying knocks and will play a mostly reserve players in the second half. Some of the lads will play on Thursday night in Steve Madens testimonial also. Having said that I think we will still win by 30.

It will be fringe and 21's v Oldham, all eyes are on Bradford at LSV 15th Feb for us now
