According to this weeks rugby mag alex browns stint in union did not work out and batley were interested but Kear said they were more or less happy with what they currently have.

Alex Brown would be my shout,especially since he has played for Jamaica along with Killer and Jodie Sherffe .From what I have seen of him the last few season he has come on leaps and bounds since he last pulled on a Cougar shirt.Keith Senior by the way is still injured and wont be back in training till the end of March,so cant see him playing against the Bull Friday.

Brown could also be an option. No great in defence or under the high ball. I agree with shaunw78 - he's come on since he last donned a Cougar shirt.

Alex Brown is a very powerful runner but if you read the Batley forum they suggest he is still suspect in defence and under the high ball.

Is this a rumour or an official release from the club?

1) If a rumour then fine - let us speculate.

2) If official and they can legally say who it is , why not get it out in the public domain straightaway.

It's on the club website, player will be announced at the Bulls game (and will also play).

I assume there is no mention of a name to encourage more people to attend.

If getting more people to attend is one of the reasons for waiting to announce, then do you not think more would attend if they knew who it was?

If it,s a top signing then surely it`s better off in the press now.Theres no time like the present.

If it was someone like Keith Senior (although I really don't think it is) then I would say yes.

If it's someone like Alex Brown, then NO. No disrespect intended.

It does not bother me in the slightest that the club want to keep it secret, I like surprises.
