Looks like the season is over now. Will next week be the final win of the year?

I can't undestand how the team from last year has turned into such a poor side. We have no idea at all in attack. JD seems to be so obsessed with defence that he has forgotten that you need to be able to score to win matches. I have seen some of the most boring keighley matches I have ever seen this year. That is no way to entice the crowds back. At the moment it is all talk and no action.

Hopefully we will see a miraculous comeback in the second half.

Wow ...... big blip this ...... wonder what excuse we will have this week

In all honesty I thought we may struggle against the Skolars due to teams' respective form going into the game, but South Wales I had down as an absolute banker. I never expected us to get turned over there. I appreciate the travel issues etc but they were negated to a certain extend by the overnight stop.

Unlike some, I'm still 100% behind JD and the lads and believe we will come out of this form issue stronger, but I do get the impression something is just not right. I personally feel JD could maybe benefit from some assistance in the coaching capacity and wonder if there is anyone out there who we could bring in just to give him a hand. I appreciate he has Barraclough and Bramald but are the two really that experienced? I'm interested by the Halifax consultancy role that Noble occupied and wondered if something similar could give the Cougars a similar form lift. This wouldn't need to be a perm. appointment, just one to lift us out of this hole until the end of the season. I appreciate there is an obvious cost issue but thought I'd cast that one out there.

There were so many good news stories coming out of the club last week and the place felt positive. This result certainly won't help our attendances. I keep saying it every week and one time I might get it right, but if we stick together we'll see us turn this around.

Here's hoping we can put some points up Gateshead next week and get some much needed confidence back.

COUGARS!

From our perspective that was just what we needed especially going to London next week , trying to build a bit of momentum with results after the Workington 'robbery'. The week off and the MMA training seemed to work really well, looked sharp and tackled immensely throughout but still showing the inevitable drop off round the 60 min mark which needs to be sorted. I was surprised by the number of handling errors by the Cougars in contrast to the earlier fixture up at yours, something which the ref was quick to pick up on for once! The gap between us and the top isn't as huge as some might think and London next week will not be the 'banker' it was last season.

Don't under estimate London. On current form the league table tells a lie, maybe if yesterday's result was anything to go by that is true of South Wales too.
