| Good point Stealth , first team coming or not would still have brought in a much needed cash boost.

Maybe i'm missing something here but shouldn't the club know whether it's own stadium is available or not?
It just comes across as a bit bizarre.

That makes sense. I'm assuming that that's in case Hull City get to the 4th round of the FA Cup and get a home draw at the KC. So I guess we won't know for another 10 days or so.
I think the website could do with being a being a little clearer on that.

| It will almost certainly be Friday unless Hull City beat Ipswich Town in the cup, then draw one of the big 5 Premier League clubs and the TV schedule that game for a Sunday.

7741_1339451243.jpg When you're a Bradford fan there's always a light at the end of the tunnel.

| Well it's been confirmed on the Bulls website that we're playing your lot on Friday night and Hull on Sunday.
So I'd imagine that we'll be sending over a B side made up of fringe players and up and coming youngsters possibly similar to the team we put out on Boxing Day against Castleford.

Petty authoritarians aren’t man enough to challenge the actions of a person face to face; instead they incite a forum of rumour, innuendo and half truths, and impose rude sanctions to discourage those who dare question fairness.

Hmm, I saw a Bradford "performance" on telly last year so I would imagine we would be able to put out the cubs U15's and give your "fringe" players a game.

Nowt like a game against the enemy to put even the most reasonable Cougar fans in to full on trolling mode

| The 32-man ‘Northern’ published squad for the 2006 encounter consisted of the following players:
Withers
Bai
Harris
Hape
Vainikolo
Harris
Deacon
Vagana
Henderson
Meyers
McKenna
Johnson
Newton
Lynch
Gene
Langley
Pryce
Watene
Ferres
Cook
Saxton
Atkins
Tonks
Brooks
James
Halley
Kopczak
Fielden
Burgess
Smith
I assume that this game is for the ‘Joe Phillips Trophy’ and, if so, I believe that Northern should treat one of our and their former players with the respect that he deserves.
Dare I say that Bob Slicer would be turning in his Australian grave if he knew to what level Northern have descended, since he was a major force in their revival in 1974, and the contempt with which they treat the memory of Joe.

Looking at that squad and comparing it to the current one it's fair to say that Agent McNamara did an absolutely fantastic job at Odsal and fully deserved to rewarded with the England job.

Agents Caisley and Harris didn't do bad either
Bradford rode the wave of Cougarmania exceptionally well, but it looks unlikely that they will ever repeat that success without a sugar daddy.
I don't think living off the scraps in the shadow of the Rhinos appeals to the newbie "good time" fans that have now deserted them. (A bit like the collapse of the original Cougarmania)
If other SL teams progress with their stadia then Odsal will come under the spotlight at the next franchise and there could be some squeeky bum times ahead for the steam pigs.

| I arn't bothered who wins this game. I am a Bulls fan since birth but I have been on Cougars scholarship for 2 years and they are a great club with high ambition so I am looking forward to a good game. If we send over this team:
Sykes
Pryce
Walker
Platt
Crookes
Jeffries
Addy
Joseph
O'Brien
McAvoy
Murphy
Ball
Bateman
and a few acadmey players on bench that would be a decentish team leaving.
Kearney
Ainscough
Purtell
Lulia
Kear
Briggs
Gale
Scruton/Hargreaves
L'Estrange
Kopczak
Elima
Sibbit
Langley
Diskin
Hargreaves/Scruton
Olbison
Donaldson
Burgess
Sammut
Maybe these:
Olbison
Donaldson
Burgess
Sammut
Doubling up starting on Friday and bench sunday. But thats what I would do to send a decent team to Cougars but our best to Hull.

Of course you mean 1964 don't you? But we haven't sunk to anywhere near those levels.
Like you I hope this is for the Joe Phillips Trophy, over the years we've seen some very varied sides go over to Keighley. I guess it depends on who we send to play Hull and who they put out. As for treating his memory with contempt I think you need to calm down.
