TBH I was just going to post on the Leigh board praising not only the Centurions performance, which was outstanding and that of a side that should win the championship no problem, and the warm welcome we received from the home fans, but you've p8888ed me off in the extreme and I wont be doing that now .....not impressed

Well, we know what Charlie thought of our team's performance - he hasn't minced his words. But is he wrong? I don't know because I wasn't there. Any Cougar fans who made the trip fancy posting some kind of report? I expected a bit of a thrashing but 86-0 wasn't what I had in mind. It's a bit of a worry. Like a few others, I do wonder why we played a friendly away at Leigh. Can't really see what our lads will have got out of that. Are there any positives at all?

CDC thank you for your post, in no way was I gloating or being arrogant in my post, I gave my opinion that's all, I did feel for the Cougars fans who went to the game, I sat next to a couple of them who had a similar verdict as myself.I think you as a Club had more to gain from the game than Leigh, as I feel it's always beneficial to play hard games, the positives for the Cougars was you played a full strength Leigh side who didn't let up, whose played expansive open rugby,and I suppose the gate money.Whatever folk may think or say, I've nowt against your Club and always enjoyed my trips to Cougar Park, hopefully I will again, if Rach doesn't want to Lynch me .Yours in sport.Charles.

What should be learned and what will be learned from a tonking like that are two different things.

Experience tells me which of the two scenarios will prevail.

Were Leigh that good. Or were we that bad?

We, Leigh, played our strongest available team yesterday. Going to FT has had a huge impact on size and skill, you didn't roll over down the middle we just threw the ball about and ran you ragged on the back of a high completion rate.

Thanks for that Maurice, I predict big things for Leigh this season, last season was a good one for you and you have built on this with more great signings.

Well, Paul Handforth didn't play. Jode Sheriffe and Daley Williams are both out for a little while. Gav Duffy hasn't featured in either game so far.

Well I hope Marchy analyses the video and comes up with a way to avoid conceding tries in the style of any of those 16 we conceded.
