I used to love watching Bobby goulding play but it's no secret that his ability to press the self distruct button has lost him jobs as both player and coach. However, he is a loveable rogue.
He has been away from superleague for long enough to make his tactical knowledge less relevant and I have no idea how he is as a man manager. There is no doubt though, that he is enthusiastic and a "big name".
He appeared to do a good job at Rochdale but if I remember, left because he was frustrated by the clubs financial position. Hmmm....

Goulding's infectious enthusiasm could only be a plus. As well as the fact he came through the Wigan system and played at the top/international level for years. He proved himsef as a club coach and has recent international coaching experience with France. He would be aware of quality players who might be suitable to bring in on loan.

To answer your point, Wane IMO is an activist but has plenty of others around him to provide analytical theories and tactics helping him formulate the game plan. Unfortunately, we are not blessed with such resources. Goulding's an interesting option but would he be attracted to the Cougars? From what I've heard anywhere Golding goes David Ferriol would follow? |

Some great ideas being banded about but I don't think the board have any intention of changing anything .....hope I am wrong. |

Marchy is a talented coach with a good pedigree (look at the success he had at Hunslet and York). Given the closeness of the bottom 9 places this league will be decided in the 2nd half of the season, not the first half. The best step forward our club can make is an emphatic win tomorrow night. |

I wish I could share your optimism , nearly a fortnight later and we are in the
same predicament - Looking relegation straight in the eyes. |

This post is as relevqnt today as when it was first posted.
Saved by the skin of our teeth....
Today , yet again , we were just not up to it and were beaten by a team that wanted it more
on the day , It is a good job Fev give Hunslet a good hiding or who knows what could
have happened if ither teams had performed different and to stay in the championship
on tje merit of a bonus point just doesn't do it for me.
The same old same old all season , the same results most of the season, the same
post match video excuses most od the season.
If this term has been a learning curve then lessons must be learnt from it.
Time for a new broom to sweep clean, Sorry Marchy but you just didn't cut the
mustard I.M.o.
