Lets face it people.
We are going to get a hiding.
If we stay within 50 of them, we have done really well.

I will pay £15, but if it had been any more. I would have gone walking for the day.

This.

If we concede less than 50 points and get on the scoreboard I'll be highly delighted.

Wire are the best attacking team in super league. They even turned an NRL team over down under during pre season.

Just quickly on the game

I hope we can hold them for a while the Wolves are not in perfect form at the mo and we are looking pretty sharp, Now in no way am I saying we can win but given allot of factors that aid us more than last season, notably we have a better team by far, other little things like we at home this time and the Warringtons previous game to playing us will an easter monday trip to Catalan which will not be eay in more ways than one. I would hope we can make a real game of at least for the first half.

Potentialy we can keep them below 50 if things go well I think we could score a try or two

So given all the factors that aid us more than they did last season

Its a hopefuly one in some ways but 48 - 10 to Wolves - 18 - 6 at HT

I think that is being hopeful but I think we could manage something like that at our best

with regard to the drinks and the bar I know that we are having at least 1 bottle bar set up for before, during, and after the game and we are hoping to position it at the side of the standing stand. There was also talk of bottle sellers using the bags from the old pie suppliers walking around selling beer. Hopefully this will help as the main problem with the hof bar, is that the more people you put behind it, the harder it is. Having spent the last 4 years on a match day behind the bar, anymore than 4 bar staff and it becomes very hard work, just to get to the guiness and magners, never mind the blooming till. lol.

I was on about this after the game on Sunday.

Having seen this in action whilst watching live sports events whilst in the US and Canada. I can safely say it works. Instead of selling those plastic bottles of Carling at £2.70 a piece, sell them at 2 bottles for £5 so the sellers don't have to carry too much change. The club will be laughing.

I don't see why people are aggrieved by the additional cost for the Warrington game, they are one of best teams in Super League and hopefully they will bring a good following.

Proper bar at the ground mate .. 'The Hall of Fame Bar '...no need to visit a pub icon_biggrin.gif

We'll be showing the 1994 Cougars v Wire Regal Trophy Match on the big screen from 12.30 plus you can buy what we think are the best pie n peas (locally sourced 'proper' pies from this forums resident butcher Mr Aspinall ) served in the RFL !!

See you there !

I think capacity is 5k now.

Not too much pub wise directly around the ground. As Rach has said there the Hall of Fame in the ground. Alternatively there's the cricket club next door which will no doubt open it's doors. Keighley Town Centre's only a 5-10 minute walk away from the ground.

On 'Wikipidia it says that it is 7800 - but I would imagine that's before the stand capacity was reduced.

If it's true that Warrington have only been allocated 1400 tickets then from where are the remaining supporters going to come?

Wouldn't it be better to ask Warrington how many tickets they can sell and then, taking into account the potential sales in Keighley, allocate the remainder to Warrington?

It's not 'rocket science' and will avoid potential problems at the gates on the day.

I think the ground's capacity was reduced when the exits where the turnstyles are behind the scoreboard were blocked off by the used car dealership.

Never get too cocky [quote="Beeston_Loiner":1v23w920]I'll go for Warrington are SH1T3! and Leeds are gonna make 'em look silly like we do to all the Pretenders in Finals..... 64th Minute when the Pressure starts to tell on the Useless TW@! Trying to sort the day off at work be nice to visit a new ground. 15pound is a bit pricey but can't blame you trying to make as much money as possibly. Glad they have got rid of the free 4th round entry( and 5th in juniors) in season tickets.

With wire playing in France on Monday perhaps more will turn out on Sunday? Squad they are sending to France is:
Wolves Squad is:
18 Matty Blythe
3 Chris Bridge
6 Lee Briers
10 Garreth Carvell
17 Mike Cooper
33 Brad Dwyer
15 Simon Grix
14 Micky Higham
20 Chris Hill
1 Brett Hodgson
21 Tyrone McCarthy
5 Joel Monaghan
8 Adrian Morley
7 Richie Myler
24 Gareth O'Brien
2 Chris Riley
11 Trent Waterhouse
12 Ben Westwood
16 Paul Wood

Maybe they'll stay there? I hear perpignan is nice in April.

And yes I am coming, 15 quid isn't too bad I suppose. I'd drank a box of Asda Biere De Luxe when I started this thread. Still i'm sure my season ticket offered me an extra game, where's that gone? Bulls probably.

They'll rest a few against us I would have thought.

I'd love to see Lee Briers and Adrian Morley play at Cougar Park though.
