| Workington scored 22 points from our kicking game, 3 attacking kicks and a goalline drop out returned for tries.
I've never seen anything like it in my 20 years of watching the game.
Our kicking game was dreadful, but credit to Workington, they are a solid unit and they capitalised spectacularly.

| Our away form appears to be the problem. Unfortunately, I don't get to many away games so I can't say what the problem could be, but tactics and mentality are two that spring to mind instantly. Before anyone feels the need to pass comment, I don't get to many away games due to work commitments. If in some people's eyes that makes me an inferior fan then so be it. Other results didn't go our way today and I'm left feeling that unless we get a home draw in the play-off's we could struggle. I think JD has identified the away form as the problem and I suppose the proof of the pudding will be in how he turns it around.

That's RL mate, some days you get the breaks and others you don't. Town may have had a slice of luck but sometimes you make your own and Kaighan's second try from the move started on our own line was worth the admission money on its own.

| I don't think luck came in to it today. Town took everything the Cougars threw at them and more and had the speed and guile to diffuse Keighley's attacks and turn them in to points.
The big difference was in the kicking games of JD and Town's Darren Holt who kept Cougars pushed back in their own half for most of the second half. JD's kicks ended up with Town scores!!!!!
I still think Cougars will be at the Grand Final, you just ran up against a team that wanted it more today.

You had your cup final last week at the Willows, it was going to be very difficult for you to get another performance like that and town are very hard to beat at their place.
Good luck in the playoffs but for now i'm off celebrating the Champions.!!!!

Fair play and congratulations to Swinton. At the end of the day the league table does not lie and they have on merit finished as champions. I'm just envious that had we got results in some of our away games such as London and south Wales that could have been us.
Onwards and upwards. Let's give our all in the play offs and we can continue the dialogue with marshy next season when we're hopefully in the Championship.

The only ones who would use it against you, are not worth worrying about anyhow.

| I was at the game today and our kicking game did let us down for two tries. The second one from JD was a poor chase as it was a decent kick. Don't agree JD had a mare, other than a poor kick which lead to try in first half he was the only player who looked like he could create something. Nice kick for our first try, nice short pass to jones that created the space for our second try and he powered over for our third try. Smith was poor today, poor kick for their first try and not finding touch from penalty, also this dummy and duck thing he does needs looking at. Dave Halley has had two poor games back to back and he was shocking today and really contributed to putting the team under a lot of pressure. It's a setback but second spot should still be ours then we can pay worky back at home in first play off. as for a watse of day, we have no given righ to beat teams and sometimes we don't doesn't mean supporting the lads is a waste of time.

| Unfortunately for the cougars you ran into in my opinion the form team of the 2nd half of the season.3 of our tries were top drawer finishes. your weak link was dave halley who dropped 1 kick return after hed ran 20 metres with the ball under complete control, and was easily out paced by towns winger, elliot miller for towns 1st try. and if you compared the two full backs they were like chalk and cheese, brett carter dominated the kick returns, and scored two well taken tries. but the big difference was darren holt, who showed at 65 years old he can still boss even the better teams around the field, and kind of gave your two half backs a lesson. keighley didnt play badly at all,and it was an arm wrestle until half time, then town blew you away with very good rugby. i think we will meet in the 1st playoff game then probably again in the final, in which will be 2 very good open games. good luck against the jam in a week or so

| Strangest game I've seen us play in a good while. We gave them far too many chances and credit to them they finished them in style.
Their kick /chase combined with a strong defence finished us. We didn't seem to be hitting the line at pace or running the angles. All they had to do was set up a straight strong defence and it was enough to keep us out.
Our heads went down too easily when really we were still in the game. We are capable of scoring back to back tries against anyone but we didn't have the grit we displayed twice against Swinton.
We need to hang on to second for home advantage - a rematch at our place would be interesting.
