| Maybe they just plain can't afford to come.
Look at the demographics of Keighley at the moment. Lots of unemployment, a lot of hard working class folk struggling to get by, and don't get me started on the chavs.
£14 is a lot of money for some people. Especially when for pretty much the same amount you can take 2 adults and a kid to the cinema for 2 hours entertainment.

| I agree with Stealth's comments. I appreciate that a team at this level requires significant funding, however, from a personal point of view I rarely bring the family along in view of the overall cost. I appreciate that there are family season tickets available etc, however, for the average family, the cost of bringing a family of say 2 adults and two children even as a one off is very expensive indeed.
I'm not sure how the prices are set, however my question is, if the prices were lowered to make a family outing to Cougar Park far more affordable, would the increase in attendences more than cover any shortfalls?
Despite feeling that the cost represents good value for money in many ways, I feel that the overall cost is a significant factor in keeping many potential fans away.
I'd be interested to hear people's thoughts........

| One area in which i think the Cougars as a club scored a massive own goal this season was with the season ticket system. We were told that the season tickets were to be the booklet type again. Then all of a sudden passport style tickets not allowing the season tickets to be transferrable to others.
I took a friend of mine to Halifax away this season (hes a football fan) but he loved the game but cant afford to watch both , my point is this .... last night was a classic scenario . My brother , a season ticket holder couldnt make the game , if the ticket was transferable my friend could have gone instead with me , brought his daughter so thats money behind the bar a burger, sweets and pop for the child and another potenetial fan for next season. I have on very good authority that the costing of the tickets was not an issue at the time of manufacturing (although i know certain people at the club tried to use this as an excuse at the time when quizzed by supporters), Its little things like this that can attract extra people through the gate and hopefully become fans of the future.

| Would be good if the Club could announce now that it will charge just £5 each entrance for the last two home league games of the season. Hopefully wouldn't upset season ticket holders & might encourage waiverers to start attending matches now or at least come to last two home league games and get them fired up to attend the play-off matches. Could attract more away fans as well. Total revenue for those matches may well go up not down.

| From the whinging that we see all the time from cougar fans i think we all know people would kick off if that deal was offered. But if they diddnt offer it people would just complain about something else anyway.

| I dont think were giving Swinton enough credit for their 1st half performance. thought they were pretty solid all night and it took a gritty determined performance to break them down. All our tries were scored out wide which says much about their defence. thought our defence was awesome all game and that was the deciding factor. personally i am prepared to give RB the benefit of some poor games as i have confidence in JD.
COME ON YOU COUGARS

| OK, I have no problem in giving Richie (yet) another chance but it is his 'schoolboy' errors that causes me problems!
He's good with 'high balls' but his attack causes me concern.
Why, just like John Holmes (one of the game's 'true greats') does Richie always have the same sidestep? You could virtually place a bet on John Holmes' (sidestep) and now, you could do the same with Richie! He always does the same and, not only does he 'sidestep' in the same direction 99 times out of 100, but he 'dithers' when he should run straight.
If he has lost his confidence then it needs to be restored. Was he ever a Superleague player or not?
Could it be that, if he was given a clean ball as he was last night by JH, he WOULD finish as desired? I don't know. BUT, when I was at school (being taught how to play by the best sports master who ever taught the game in Keighley) I was always told that I needed to place the ball as close to the posts as possible to make it simple for the kicker.
Look forward to the usual criticism.

| I think certain Cougar fans are an absolute disgrace! Im pritty sure we could pick the certain individuals out. But do some people actually come down just to shout and moan all match. If its not the ref its one of the players! You cant win with them. Its actually quite sad that someone would pay good money just to stand there and moan. Get a grip certain individuals and get behind your team!!

| RB did make some silly errors. Strong athlete but isn't showing a brain for the game sometimes. Frustrating to watch at dewsbury and partly against swinton. But whenever I shout at the pitch it is always positive getting behind the team. Negative criticism isn't as useful as motivation and guidance.

| I think things like this can be blown out of proportion, in every sport and in every team you get some players that for what ever reason some fans just don't take too and this has nothing to do with colour, race or religion. Even a top player isn't always liked look at Wayne Rooney, Sam Tomkins, Ryan bailey and so on. I have never really took to Ritchie Barnett or even Neil cherryholme if that's how you spell his surname.
People have a right to an opinion and when you are in sport or involved in something that puts you in the public eye I think it is just something that comes with the territory and I am sure every player will deal with it at some point in their life.

Your right, but Cougar fans need someone to blame. If its not the ref it will be RB.

I am a season ticket holder and I couldn't make it on Thursday as I was watching the Happy Mondays in Leeds. I would prefer that all our games were Sunday kick offs to be honest.
I think due to having a photo on your season ticket, it is going to waste if you do not make the game as you cannot give it to someone else to use.
I sent my younger brother down so that my Grandad who I usually go with wasn't on his own and I gave him the entrance fee to attend.
I would prefer it if I could just hand the season ticket out if I can't make it and I support your point that this may generate more fans.

| I too think that Swinton played well in the first half, but our defence was better, hence allowing them to score only the once. It was a fantastic team effort in defence which took the wind out of their sails and allowed the Cougars to do the business. Incidentaly Jy-Mel Coleman got Premier Sports Man of the Match, chosen by Brian Noble, and he accepted it very gracefully, well done Jy-Mel and the rest of the team...

On last nights performance, Jones and Obst were absolutely woeful and we were lucky that the team got it together in the last 15 - 20 mins really.'"
Well said!
