| Quote RBear="RBear"I am a new season ticket holder, I just used to pay on the gate but I think £14 every week was a bit much plus add food and petrol from Halifax and It would be about £20.00.
My mate who I go with hasn't bothered with a season ticket this time but got one last year..... I too think its poor we have only sold 331. Has the deadline now passed?'"
According to twitter you can buy them at the game tomorrow.
Quote RBear="@Cougarmania"331 season tickets sold! Need a big push over the weekend - you can buy at the game on Sunday as well.'"
It would be nice if the club could manage to sell at least another 68 at the game. For some reason I can't see it happening which is a shame.

| I think people are being a bit too negative here. 331 is a good number in my opinion. That is 331 people who have committed to going to every game. That is 331 people who will feel that they need to attend all the games and not just go occasionally.
How many did we sell last year? I'm sure it will have been nowhere near 331. I never expected that many to be sold personally.
I think we will have more people at our games this year due to the amount who have bought season tickets.
Anyone know when we pick the season tickets up or give the remainder of the money? Finally got round to paying the deposits for me and my Grandad through Paypal a few nights back.

| My main point at the start of this thread was that there appear to be anomalies in certain areas which, during the season will created confusion and ill-feeling if not resolved now, as 'Dominance' mentions in respect of children's season tickets; yet no-one from the Club has (apparently) made any attempt to resolve these potential problem areas.
1. 'Passport to Leisure' holders can gain entry at concessionary rates when they are 60 - what is the incentive to buy a Season Ticket?
2. Ladies who are 60 are deemed to be 'pensioners' by the State yet not by the Cougars (this season although they were last year).
3. The 'post' by 'Dominance' needs a response.
As I've said, I paid my deposit some time back but it would be nice to hear from the Club and whether they are interested in resolving or willing to resolve these anomalies and extend the offer period to the end of January then the break-points might be achieved.

| I think to be fair I've had my query answered, albeit unofficially. I agree though, the concessions age thing needs clarity. Maybe the RFL need to intervene and give a directive to clubs. Surely, in this day and age we shouldn't have a situation where people don't know from one club to the next what age concessions begin.
On a positive note, it's now at least 332 as I've just ordered my 5 year old a ticket.

| Sorry, that's my error. DOH! However, in my defence, the youtube link earlier in this thread from Gary suggests the figure quoted included concessions and juniors so I'm now a little confused as to what 331 represents. Is that inclusive of all, or just adults?
Anyway, I expect to pay another £60 so anything less than that I will see as a benefit.

| Can't say I'm not a bit disappointed that only 331 have been sold. I thought it was an offer that people would've taken advantage of, the more sold the cheaper it gets etc.
It seemed to work for the bulls last year, I think it was. Also Bradford City sell plenty of season tickets at low prices, shame it didn't work for Cougars.

| I would think support will grow but during that growth the new fans won't be as willing to buy a season ticket straight away. I think if we have a solid season back in this division i think a lot more will buy season tickets next season.

| I really do think people are underestimating the recession.
A lot of people do not have spare money at the moment.

| I've had an e-mail from our Chairman to say that children aged 5 and under will gain FREE admission this year. Only those aged 6 -16 will pay the £5 entry, or £30 season ticket. Hope this helps.

| That's great Dominance.
Pity there was no comment about 'mature' ladies over 60 but under 65.
