| A game of two halves! York looked good value in the first, playing fast rugby in both attack and defence and Presley showed he still has the eye and legs for the half gap.
Second half was quite different as Keighley went up a gear and left an out of breath York in their wake. We could have scored more and I think we need to make more of our posession and opportunities if we are to be sucessful in this division.
Overall a job well done and winning pay for the lads. They've taken some criticism over the last few weeks so it's good to see them clear the air where it counts, on the pitch. A big pat on the back to all concerned.

| Enjoyed the game yesterday and thought we were good value for the win.
I keep hearing this easter bank holiday debate about kick off time. I do not know anyone that worked good friday, so did anyone miss the game as a result? The crowd was very good I thought.
Anyone see over 1500 at Newcastle. Very good crowd.

Without drifting the thread, I know several people who would have worked but took holiday to watch the match and there are a couple on this thread who have already said they missed the match.
It was a reasonable turnout though, but was that because of the match or the other activities? I'm sure a few came down for the naming of the stand, there were a few down that I haven't seen for some time. Let's hope they liked what they saw and return.

| I still think the crowd would have been lower for an evening kick off.
3pm was therefore the best time.

| I wasn't being dismissive at all, I simply asked the question.
If I'd have gone we play every Good Friday and you should know this by now, tough riddance ect. then fair enough.

This may seem a bit like a storm in a tea cup, but to the fans who missed the game, and to those who took a day from their valuable holiday allocations there is a point.
For you as our media rep (if that's what you are) I would have expected a better choice of words.
- "We've always played on good Friday" is ignoring the critical fact that we have normally played Good Friday EVENING not afternoon.
- saying "I can't understand the problem" is at worst being dismissive and at best naive.
I'm all for the club trying something different that might boost attendance, but I'm not convinced this has.

How do you know that?
You might be right, but just interested in why you think that.

Well it's clear that there is no point in buying a season ticket next year if I'm going to loose out on seeing the match because Gary thicks City playing at home will cause a reduced attendance. Neither Batley or the Dulls thought along the same lines.

| I wouldn't have come across for an evening game, for starters. Factor of public transport over a distance.
Same as its nigh impossible for me to get to Sunday games as well

Points to consider on both sides - yes attendance was good , boosted by the kids games and a a fair deputation of past players invited because of the presentation for Terry -neither of which would have probably happened if had been an evening kickoff but then on the other hand alienating the core support like Mickey and KRLFC by doing away with the traditional kick off time ( even more so if its because of the round ball game ) is not a wise move either ..
