I recall watching Leigh on TV some time ago and their fans had a banner of some sort with 'OUR TOWN - OUR TEAM' written across it; I thought that was an excellent slogan. Leigh play in the shadow of Wigan and I think the town is part of the Wigan metropolitan district so it's similar to our own Keighley / Bradford set-up. I think such a slogan would go some way towards emphasising our 'separate-ness', highlighting the fact that Keighley is a town in its own right and not somehow 'in Bradford'. God, how I hate it when I see or hear Keighley being described as being 'in Bradford' just because the council area bears that name. I am not a 'Bradfordian' and I never will be. God forbid that the potential fixture between our two teams next season is described as 'the Bradford derby'. Like hell it will be. OUR TOWN - OUR TEAM. Sounds good to me.

I agree with your point, but I can't see the media being so naïve.

They know that 10 miles separate the two places. They'd more likely refer to it as a "West Yorkshire Derby" in the same way they refer to our games against Halifax for example.
