| Quote: Mick W. "Black sheep in the bar every week.
Staying up.
Free challenge cup entry for season ticket holders.
Bigger crowds, made up of teetotallers so we can still get to the bar! '"
We'd better pop over the road to the mosque to see we if can entice some to come over before the game next week then Mick

| I suppose the answer depends on whether this is based on a wish list or realism
Realistically:
1. Stay up, but I think we will struggle.
2. No injuries.
3. Constructive, open, honest, friendly dialogue between the new directors and the fans
4. Moves toward raising funding for a new stand
5. Tidy up the bar and toilets - starting to looking shabby now.
A wish but highly unlikely and linked to 4. - the council/yorkshire forward put a chunk of funding toward a new stand.

| 1. We manage to stay up against all the odds. [i It's a long season and anything could happen![/i
2. NRC Quarter Final spot.[i Definitely attainable if you win 3 out of your 4 group matches. Other results may have to go your way also.[/i
3. We beat Fax at home. [i Our home or your home? [/i
4. We get B*lls at home in the Challenge Cup and turn them over. [i If they continue where they left off from last season and disrespect you by putting out their Z team, then it'll happen.[/i
5. We get less than 9 points deducted. [i Any more and I'd be lighting torches and taking to the streets.[/i
6. There's yet another scandal at York. [i Almost a given[/i
7. Jonny Presley realises that he's a potential world beater and scores 40 tries. [i I hope so long as those 40 don't come all at once against us [/i

And that is we stay up. I don't care how we do it, great rugby, crap rugby even bloody cheating.
Whatever happens i don't want us to go down.
If we end up going down because of the points deduction, then someone will never be forgiven.'"
I am in total agreement with you Jim.

| I'd love it if some of Keighley's asian community came down to watch - we could get a real community feel to the club then, and it would be good for the whole town, I reckon.
(and we'll still get to the bar!)

| I just hope we can stay up really.
Would be good if attendances could include around 1,000+ Keighley fans at home games also.

Not only would it be great but the club could potentially get a Govt grant to achieve it. The Dulls are currently looking in to such a project so it would be nice to steal a march on them.
If the club is currently accessing these grants then that's fantastic but if not they are available and should be investigated.
As for the bar would it be worth approaching the brewery to finance a refurbishment.

| How would a govt grant help? Print a load of posters up or summat? It'd be a great achievement, but I'm not sure how we'd go about it, or what strategy would be successful.

As the Cougars have set up a new Co they may well be elligible for a grant from Business Link. For example this may help develop/stroke implement any marketing strategy the club may have.
Bradford Kick Start also may have funds available but it is not set out what this covers. The process is that you approach them with your project and they tell you what can be covered under the grant.
RFL are currently very keen to get the Asain Community involved in the game and have made approaches to a number of high profile members of the community to seek their advice. Would look good at HQ if we were pr active on this.

| I sometimes think, though, it sounds a bit condescending to 'get them into' the game: traditionally, asian communities seem far more interested in cricket than football or rugby. Be good to get a few along though, then the club could truly claim to represent the local community.

| I'd like to see of Neil Spencer's involvement.
Isn't he tha man who said we 'couldn't live beyond our means'?
Then, hey presto - he's back, despite taking the Club into Administration.
Isn't it about time he said a graceful goodbye?
