| That explains everything and the reason why they bombarded everyone with emails giving ground access to Super League games for £10 and why our pricing (including Season Tickets) is reasonable; especially the way that the team are playing at present.

| My prediction is they will still exist and I hope they enjoy Championship 1 Rugby.

| The Bulls will be saved in some way shape or form, whether they have to go into admistration to do it remains to be seen. It's a sad day as we know it isn't good when this sort of thing comes out of the blue.

| It would be a sad day if the club could no longer operate. Whilst they are not my favorite club in this sport, to see clubs go to the wall is not good for English rugby. I too think the RFL will intervene and they will still exist, but maybe not at the levels they once did. £100 per member is a great deal of money in the current climate?

| Seem shockingly similar to how we went belly up.
Deal done with the RFL regarding the lease on the ground then the club goes bust.
It's time to put our trivial hatred of them to one side for the time being.
Without them we have nothing to cheer about when they get beat and we can't dare to dream of turning them over in the cup.
I for one hope they survive, it would be bad for the game if they didn't

| Its a sad day when a 150 jobs are on the line, and my heart goes out to all those people. But from a personal point of view I will not shed a single tear if Bradford Bulls goes under. They are part of club that we as keighley Cougars will never be a part of, and they(Bulls) were instrumental at the forming of super league with the other clubs made sure that we didnt even get to knock on the door of super league.I went to Salford to protest with other fans at a meeting of the then chairmen of the so called big clubs. Where they made sure keighley as well several other clubs were cast adrift, and there smiling faces after the meeting said it all.
As for the the good of the game,as far as they are concerned(Super League/Sky)there is no Rugby outside of super league we dont exist only when they need a little good PR for the work in the communities which the Championship Clubs do so well,or when they need to blood young players on the cheap, the good of the game would be a level playing field, Relegation and Promotion, where the small town clubs could once again DareTo Dream of playing top flight rugby.
But dont worry all you Bulls lovers out there they wont be allowed to go bust, they will be saved at the expense of everyone else, the RFL will come riding to the rescue you wont know where the money came from, but it will so sleep easy.

| Chris Caisley still owns 25% of the shares. Who on this forum wouldn't want him to suffer?

| Couldn't agree more with 'shauwn78' and 'this_cougar_outfit' although it's sad about the jobs.
Northern have never done anything for us - look at the team that they sent for last 'Joe Phillips Trophy' game. Perhaps they were saving money then, but to treat one of their and our gtreat players with contempt shows their true colours. Roll-on Championship 1!
The 'Look North' coverage this lunchtime just wanted me to throw-up!
Although we know that there is life outside Super League, it appears that no-one else does!

| Do I feel sorry for the fans who have bought season tickets yes I do. Do I feel sorry for the players yes I do.
Do I feel sorry for club in general not a chance. Lots of stomach churning bulls are too big a club and super league needs them, really why?
Twitter is awash with folk in shock but surely directors must have known, I hope they get through it but even if they fold a reformed club will not be demoted with franchises in place as a result of Broncos as they are now known going bust rfl changed rules as far as I know.

| I too was sickened by the lunchtime news, I don't want the dulls to be no more but I do believe they should pay the price for being in the position they have put themselves in.
They are no different to any other team at the end of the day yet something tells me they will come through this without so much as a black mark against them, I would expect the RFL will certainly have a hand in bailing them out
I know I may sound bitter but unless you were around in cougarmania days gone by then you can't possibly understand

Too right. My sympathy levels are through the floor Im afraid. But here's an idea... perhaps our two clubs could merge! The new club would play at Cougar Park and would be called 'Keighley Cougars'! Hang on, that sounds familiar...
.
They quickly feathered their own nest back in 94-95 and couldn't dump us fast enough, despite us having a team which was arguably better than theirs. If I remember rightly, Caisley ridiculed the new 'Cougars' name and said 'Northern' had nothing to learn from the Keighley club, after which they promptly became the Bulls, pinched all Keighley's ideas and passed them off as their own.

| Caisley I think said something on the lines of "It will be a cold day in hell when Northern needs loud music dancing girls and the like to get people through the turnstiles, that's for that lot down the road",well folks we all know what happened next.
By the way as I remember the smiling chairmen from Salford who looked so pleased after there meeting that decided our fate were Caisley,Maurice Lindsey and Gary & Kath Hetherington the last two were still pre-occupied counting the 100k+ we spent on Powell only days before Super League was announced, and then he had the bloody cheek once he was in charge at Leeds to buy him back plus the likes of Fleary,Irvine and several other players for peanuts and told the press he done us a favour.
So bitter,to bloody right I am,and long may it continue.

As a Fev fan I agree 100%. Keighley were brushed to one side during the formation of SL when you were a club on the up. If Keighley would have rightly been promoted then the clubs history could have been so different.
I understand your bitterness, I feel the same way. This has been a long time coming and to be honest I am over the moon.
