I was unable to go today so cannot comment on the game itself however someone who went complained about the racial abuse aimed at Jamaine from some Leigh fans, if true this follows on from reports from other clubs fans in recent weeks.

If true then hopefully the videos pick up on this and the club should make official complaint to Leigh and rfl as this is unacceptable.

Any fans that witnessed this should complain to rfl direct and bypass Leigh simply because if the other clubs involved have raised this as an issue clearly are not dealing with it, its no good any club just making announcements on tannoy that racial abuse will not be tolerated but should actually act on this.

It is unacceptable in anyway shape or form.

As is quoted on another thread .. Jamaine followed up his kick with what I would say was ' a good hard tackle'.. which the ref saw as that...

Yep there was some ***** thrown in our pocket dynamos direction but from where I was sat it was no more inflammatory than that thrown at Shick 'Yorkie Fat Ba**D' ....... and comments thrown towards others on our team ....

I'm in no way condoning racism which should be tackled ,when it is prevalent in our game ,....

BUT Colour , size ,ugliness , four eyed etc etc etc are the first things that people see that distinguish individuals on the field................ not specifics but what makes them different.....

WE took the the other week (Daley) n expected York to deal with it .............

I didn't hear anything racist myself.

I had my camera running the whole match from behind the sticks that Cougars were playing towards in each half.

I have to say that the abuse directed against Jamaine was probably the worst I have heard for a long time.
Thought I had gone to York by mistake.

That said, I did not hear anything directed towards Jamaine that was racial.
There was a lot of anti Yorkshire chanting, on the end terrace and I never heard anything against Shisck from there.

Leigh fans were under the impression Jamaine had gone in with his feet in a tackle and injured their player.
That was the reason they were having a go at him, from where I was stood.
Never heard a racist remark. That said I will watch my video and listen.

Hannah was in the stand and said that there the Leigh fans, were vile and aggressive throughout.
She is not the only one to mention this to me today. (Towards Keighley women and Kids )

Leigh obviously are now so wealthy they don't want away fans to visit and don't need their money.

On the pitch, the team who played better for 80 minutes won.
Nice ground and nice pitch about to be dug up.

I know of one young fan who was identified correctly and then called out by the stewards only for his father to try and drag him away. I would back any action that was to be taken against him as I was three seats away from him and know exactly what he said as do one or two of the players families. If this youth was to learn early in his life that such comments are unacceptable then he may still turn out to be a respectable adult.

Unfortunately you are always going to get someone who is racist.
We have had problems in the past at Keighley, with our fans doing it.

Its up to the club to set a example.
If someone has done it and the club can find out who has done it. Then the club should ban them for life.

Is that the 50 Keighley fans who made more noise than 1200 Leigh fans nearly all game until there was a bit of biff?

Speaking of 1200 fans, that's a massive turnout for a club with Super League aspirations.

Unless you are omnipresent and can be in every part of the ground at once I don't see how you can say this with any degree of certainty. I personally did not hear any racist abuse but as I was walking out of the ground overheard a fan who was sat where there was. I don't regard this fan as a liar.

Every club has fans who get carried away in the heat of the moment (including us). Its the responsibility of the rest of us, and the club, to make sure this does not get out of hand.

More noise perhaps where you sat but not heard where I was sat, its funny how surrounded by a dozen chanting makes you not hear other fans noise

Look at crowds at other matches that kicked off at 1.00 yesterday, I think you will find all were massively down.

Credit to your fans who turned up though, its a pity its turned a bit nasty as I sensed no bitterness during the game.
