Doesn't sound very committed to keighley in today's t&a. Sounds like he's using cougars to get a wage and keep his fitness up but as soon as a SL club come in for him he's off.

We must have read 2 different articles then. Here are some of the quotes from the T&A website;

It's clear to me that some clubs and their fans are a little jealous of the Cougars at the moment.

TBF think semis a good signing at championship level. Just don't see why in article about him signing he felt the need to even mention his release agreement.

I'd guess that most part time players have a Super League release clause in their contract.

And would any club really stand in the way of a part time player who was offered the opportunity to play full time? I don't see a problem with it so long as there's a release fee as part of the clause.

It's a very good signing for the Cougars who should be praised for their initiative. I don't see why the only players a club can sign have to be ones who would have to be dragged from the ground in a coffin, in fact it's ridiculous. So long as a player does his best for his current employer then I'm fine with that.

The point of it all is, of course that Tadulala could still do a job at SL level, even if he is knocking on a bit. From that, even if for some reason he isn't committed to Keighley forever to the depths of his being, (in the way that every other player of every other club obviously is ) it would still the only shop window he has to stand in so the more he wanted away, the better he would have the incentive to play!

In fact, everyone should be praised for their candidness. I've no doubt Semi will do a good job for us.

If he gets offered an SL contract then thats fine. At least this reinforces that we are paying sensible contracts.

I doubt he will get another Super League contract tbf. He was very average at the end of last season. Obst may get a deal midway through the season, but I doubt Semi will. They will both do a very good job for you, and I wish them all the best Hopefully some of us Wakey fans will come to Cougar Park a couple of times next year to watch the lads play, and to also help your attendances Best of luck for the new season fellas!!

Tadulala is past it and to be honest crap. Sure Keighley could have got a Dual reg player who would be better to be honest. Obst is for me the signing of the championship and would even say he is better than Fisher at Batley. Korkidas also has done nothing for years. Glad you havent burst a gut to sign them as they will not bring you much. The Championship is a very tough League and Keighley will not find it so easy as your Chairman thinks.

Oh well, lets not bother watching Cougars this season and bow to the expertise that isn't Black Cat. Cherryholme a plodder as you say was one of Fax's best players when you won the grand final. Danny Jones deserved MOM on most of the occasions fax were on Sky. I doubt your assessment of Tadulala is any better as you obviously watch the game with your head up your behind.

There is every point in watching Keighley this year and they will go OK. But this is a very tough League with most teams strengthened from last year. Danny Jones is too slow and cant organize. He is OK but is not as good as the likes of Black, Finn, Grimshaw, Handforth etc. He will do OK but thats not enough if your Chairman wants to win a Trophy. Cherryholme rarely breaks a tackle, not great at offloading though is good in defence. If you want to make him out to be a great player thats your opinion but he is average. If Fax lose on Boxing Day so what-first its a meaningless friendly and second wont have their strongest sound out anyway. Friendlies are just a way to see how the team and players are doing and what needs to be worked on.
