Yes the ref was terrible , yes we had some silly errors but the game was nearly

Isn't it always the way? I couldn't get down to Keighley today so I went to watch Gateshead Thunder v Oxford instead. I was getting text updates from my pal at Cougar Park though and it got so nerve-wracking that I couldn't concentrate on the game I was actually at. I feared that Leigh would continue their blistering form and blow us away but how wrong I was! Well done, Cougars! Sounds like a fantastic effort from all concerned today so more of the same please; I hope to be at Workington - never been there before - so three points would be nice

This was just the sort of game that fans want to see and will bring more down to Cougar Park.

Determination, aggression and no shortage of skill. Everyone involved deserves a big pat on the back.

I was upstairs today for a change and the Leigh Director who gave a speech was very complimentary about our performance and said it was a good reality check. He put £50 behind the bar for our lads to have a drink.

The team should take confidence from this.

Well done to your guys. They more than matched us in the pack, and had two outstanding half backs in Paul Handforth and Danny Jones. I would be tempted to say Leigh were dreadful, but you know what they say - "You play as well as you are allowed to play." and Keighley gave us a lot to think about!

In my opinion, the better team definitely lost. Good luck with the rest of your season - carry on playing like that and you'll be a threat to everyone!

Just got back home. Like many I guess, this morning I was hoping for a bonus point but now I'm gutted we didn't win or even draw. Great team effort, well done Cougars. Need to keep the focus on and build on that, there's going to be more hard games ahead that could come down to a critical last few minutes.

Best team lost in all fairness. As poor as we were at times, your lot really lifted their game and were only undone by the last throw of the dice. Keep playing like that and you'll be knocking on the top five, no doubt at all.

My first time on here, although I have been reading posts for a while. Thanks to all you Leigh folkes, it was an excellent game today. Thought the ref gave some strange decisions especially in your second to last 6 set. However, really good game by both teams. Well done Cougars, let's keep it up, and good luck to you guys from Leigh for the rest of the season (Apart from the return game).

Anybody know how the lad is that was knocked out in the first half? Looked a nasty one and a few fans said they saw an ambulance pulling in at HT.

I still can't work out how one Leigh lad running into three big Keighley lads resulted in one of your men going down, first thought was a shoulder charge gone wrong. Was the incident put on report?

Wilkes was put on report for suspected lifting of the knee. A Keighley player was put on report for something similar in the 2nd half.

Thanks, obviously only saw the incident in real time but a knee would definitely make sense, intentional or not.

not sure how Luke Haigh is but as far as Im aware ambulance was for a speccie in need not Luke..
