| Their defense was fantastic today.
We made too many errors in the 2nd half in important areas and it cost us the game.
Dewsbury deserved it as hard as it to say that.

| Their defence was very good, bit frustrating after all the play we had so close to the line that we only scored 2 tries, however we have to get our heads on for next week, lets give it a real good go and see what happens,we missed Jonny in the second half.

| Was it only me but i thought our props were not at the races, Benjafield made good in roads 1st half especially, but apart from Rawlin's try none of the big guy's (with exception of RB) did much else, both Law & Shickell seemed well off the pace. Pursglove had a big game, but Danny Jones had an off day, they targetted Presley early & it worked. Absolutely gutted, but they deserved the points.

| We weren't even at the races today, I think JP could do with a bit a competition for his place, Helliwell looked sharp on Thursdsay until he was crudely taken out.
Considering it was a must win game, to me we didn't look interested, very disppointed as I thought Dewsbury were there for the taking. It seemed as though as soon as it started raining in the 2nd half we gave up, too many silly mistakes (3 knock ons in a row)
Being a no playing RL fan I would be grateful if some one could explain when you can take a quick restart and when you can't as I couldn't see any difference in Dewsbury being allowed 2 and when Keighley tried one they were brought back, it's probably down to my lack of knowledge of the game.
On the plus side the tpuch judges are getting better looking!!

| We seemed to have weathered the early storm from Dewsbury. We had just started to build some pressure and Danny had a brain wave and got sin binned.
All of a sudden if gave them chance to get back into the game.
Stupid, stupid thing for him to do.
Thought Baines and Pursglove had top games.
Have to agree with joshmab. I to thought that Law & Shickell were of the pace. Especially Law, i wonder if he was carrying a injury.
One other thing. Who picked the mane of the match, Danny Jones dad.
Never in a million years did he deserve it.

| Don't think Jones deserved it either considering his 10 mins in the bin for gobbing off to Merrick (whether he deserved it or not). Players need to have composure. To be honest nobody stood out today for me, maybe Williams at a push.

First point might be the controlled restart rule, mainly applying to a 20m tap or a tap after a penalty has been kicked into touch. The defence is allowed time to set up from that situation.
Second point, is spot on. If the RFL want to boost attendances employ birds running the line like the one today. She was top drawer, especially when it rained in the second half, it was like a wet t-shirt contest.

| To add a further point. Ryan Benjafield's first spell was awesome. Everytime he carried the ball in someone ended on their ar$e. He's been the most improved player this season IMO.
I get the feeling that whoever's getting the MOM sponsorship is getting a 5 year old to pick their favourite player to win it. It's making a complete mockery of the award. Danny Jones, good as he is, wouldn't have been in the top 5 performances today.

Good call about Ryan Benjafield. He really is starting to look good.

| To be fair the MOM is picked by whoever actually sponsors the award ... not always RL aficionados....
Danny was no way MOM today IMHO (my particular choice would have been Olly .. colossal effort after his return from injury )...but that was our sponsors choice .. as they say points makes prizes.....
While it may grate with some (me to be fair being amongst them , as an old prop work horse on the field & getting extremely annoyed when all the flying backs n scheming halfs win all the awards n plaudits, in place of those who put in the hard yakka ) ..,but money talks and for the financial benefit that sponsorship brings to the club .. as supporters we all know who were our gamestars

| Yes well done Dewsbury. I thought our lads were off the pace yesterday. But they were still good enough to
beat Dewsbury. The first try Dewsbury scored was forward. Then when Jermaine Wray scored the ref did not allow
it. Looked ok to me and the lads in the car wash stand. Ithink the RFL should bring back the in goal judge or, have
2 refs like they do in Australia.
Anyway looking forward to next Sunday when we play Widnes. They were beaten by Barrow, and the Dulls were
beaten so it makes our defeat not look too bad. Cougars 20------------ Widnes 14 for next week.

| The Dewsbury defence was nothing short of awesome and won them the game. It would be interesting to see the statistics but it felt like we spent more time on their line than they on ours, only we could not find a way through.
Did Jermaine score? It happened right in front of me but his hands moved so fast that I honestly could not say for certain. But it was next to the posts and a certain 6 points if given.
There were a couple of refs decisions that we could debate, but that's the nature of rugby.
Mr Jones will have to be carefull, his 10 mins cost us momentum and points, we don't want him getting a reputation with the refs. He is a class act, just needs a bit more consistency.
The lads will have to dust themselves down and get fired up for the up and coming games. I don't think its a foredrawn conclusion just yet but it will be very difficult to stay up now.
Who knows, a surprise win against Leigh away could really mix things up
