I suspect a lot depends on who you get 'offered'. I suspect the younger players, looking to impress the management at their SL club will make a good effort. I suspect some of the more journeymen players 'dropped' to their DR club, may be less enthusiastic about it all

I think by and large they don't. When Swinton were DR'd with Warrington it didn't do them any good. North Wales had that arrangement with Wire last season and it didn't do them any good either. Oldham were DR'd with Huddersfield Giants but they played their best rugby with their own players after the Giants went back to their parent club. It certainly didn't work for us during that brief period we were with Cas.

My own opinion is NO, NO, NO. NEVER! It's a total shambles of a system, devised with the SL clubs in mind. It's entirely for their benefit, not ours (clubs at our level) and the way it has been abused is shameful.

I can assure you that Gary Fawcett will be the last chairman to touch DR. Especially after what happened with Batley.

Big fat NO, imagine if you turned up for work and were told, We don't need you this week we have someone better than you, we might need you next week though if his boss wants him back, how demoralising must it be for a player to be told hes not playing because someone from another club was playing instead, i am proud to say Keighley Cougars have higher moral standards and unwavering loyalty to its own than to use D/R.
