Quote: guess who "If we only play five drives and a kick with no invention.
Why do our outside backs score most of there tries from the ball being moved along the line?'"
I did say we do do it at times and it pays off. That's exactly why we should do it more. At Oldham we got it out to Andy Gabriel and Josh Guzdek on the wings and they scored tries. It just doesn't happen often enough. At Rochdale there was far too much one-up stuff. What happened when we threw it out through the backs? Gabriel was in! And he very nearly got in again a bit later - only some last-ditch defence from the Hornets prevented the score. I'm not saying it's a piece of cake to off-load, it can't be done at will but all the successful teams play the ball quickly, off-load in the tackle when possible and, very importantly, support each other and go looking for the ball. I'm certain we have the players who can do more of this and do it well. We could and should be putting some teams to the sword. Five drives and a kick gets a bit tedious.
