In theory yes its a good idea (however he is already 'participating' through a third party), in reality it will end up getting personal and the club will end up washing its dirty laundry in public. More importantly it would provide a platform for Gary to make one of his ludicrous claims about Super League and our impending entry, I do believe initially when Gary took the helm Super League was promised by 2015. With the best intentions this was never going to happen. Let's leave Gary & his media savvy to the Keighley News & hope that the RL world don't get to hear/read his false rhetoric. All this said, Gary as a difficult job to do but in my opinion does not help himself on occasions, SL claims, profiteering from inept Warrington challenge cup match, however at least he is trying and must be complimented for that.

The current board of directors own/run the club within the limitations and resources at their disposal. Let's be fair, they are not in it for the money, and they wouldn't be involved if they didn't have some love of Rugby League. They have to make the decisions that in their opinion, and no one elses, are the right ones for the club. Some may find favour, some may be not to everyones taste and some may be ridiculous. The fans can whinge , moan, witter all they want but ultimately the buck stops with the BOD. This is standard in any business.
If a white knight with with oodles of £££ came knocking on the door I doubt if they would be turned away, although this has "allegedly" happened in the distant past.
The future for the club is based around the people who have an interest in the club, and this does not mean financially exclusive only. Look at how some soccer and RU clubs are run and even RL clubs. If you get the right people in the right places doing the right thing then perhaps the chances of success are increased, but EVERYONE involved has to be a partner and work for the club not themselves and that definitely includes the players.
Here is an opportunity within the current season to " think outside the box" and to start to develop the Cougars into what people. directors, players want and that is the 1st challange. Define it and aim to achieve. It dosn't have to be a big goal but it has to be achievable with the resources currently available, and once that step has been achieved, then move on. It needs co-operation and attitude to achieve such things.
Here's hoping.
Oh , and for what it's worth, there are reasons why I would not partake directly which are personal to me.
