We have on paper a very experienced team. Many of the players played last year so understand the relegation dog fight. You'd also surely be expecting new players like Handforth to be directing the ship in times of need, but I don't see that happening. I have real concerns regarding the togetherness of the squad. I genuinely feel Marchy does not have that ability to lift a team like JD or our past coaches did. This may not be in his make-up so is not a criticism as such, but something that IMO is needed to coach at this level. I am sure JD wasn't liked by all the squad and tough decisions need to be made. He was respected and I am sure when he spoke others listened. I just don't get that feeling with Marchy and he probably sees himself as one of the lads rather than their coach. I am not convinced by his prep and tactics and we also don't seem as fit as we could be. I could be way off, but all does not seem harmonious which could well be contributing to our demise.
Survive or not, I think those in charge of our club need to make some tough decisions. If we stay up are we delaying the inevitable? Next season will be tough and given that Marchy intends to re-sign on the majority of the current squad will we kick on from where we are now. I am not so sure and think some changes need to be made.

Petty authoritarians aren’t man enough to challenge the actions of a person face to face; instead they incite a forum of rumour, innuendo and half truths, and impose rude sanctions to discourage those who dare question fairness.
