No way, saturday in Summer is chock a block with sport for amateur players who would not be able to attend

Stick with Sunday for me, although I don't mind the odd Friday night game.

It would be better if it wasnt on a Sun for me. It would free up every Sunday giving more time to spend with the family.
How about a Fri evening?

Friday would be ok too , but the big problem I would see
With that is in which ever division we end up it will
Be part time players more often than not so would cause problems
With travelling to games & work etc , not to mention the fans.

In an ideal world every club would be full time but that will only
Be for the select few clubs outside of Sooooperdooooper league.

You've hit the nail on the head! Sides that have regularly used Friday night have been accused of trying to gain an unfair advantage. I seem to remember posts on this board decrying just such a thing.

Sunday has been the accepted day for some time and people have got used to it, I'm not sure how you can choose another day that will suit everyone. In the area I stand, everyone are couples. If you look around the ground there are a lot of couples too. It only seems to be under the scoreboard where the "loners" gather

Sunday doesnt suit everyone. Couples could still spent Sunday together. They may have to find something else to do.
Maybe go for some beauty lessons. Then they may look as good as those that stand under the score board

And if every club does this and its seen as the norm to pratt about with kick off times how soon that we end up with a similar scenario to that that is massively affecting football with kick offs at ridiculous times of the day to suit the media ...and impossible for the average fan to plan around .

We've already seen SL supporters screwed over pre booked trips to Catalan out of pocket with Sky changing the kick off times at the last minute , lets stay on the traditional KO time .......what ever time we ko its always unfortunately always going to be inconvenient for somebody ..but by sticking to one time everyone can sort out there lives around it

Just another point as well , as we own our own ground ,the onus is on making the facilities profitable for the club and hopefully meaning more investment in the team .

Friday and Saturday nights are usually the evenings of choice for Private Functions bookings in the bars , all profitable with hire fees bar takings and catering , take out 20 of those evenings if we went to a weekend evening and you're left with a massive dent in the Clubs ability to generate income

The club are onto a looser if they change game day because there will always be someone it does not suit.

We've worked Sunday into a full day of entertainment for ourselves: first the game then into the bar for a few drinks and the speeches, then out for a pub meal. When the kids were younger they came too, in fact they first brought us down to cougars after Joe Grima visited their school.

Thinking about this more and something Dreamer pointed out. It does seem there are more couples and loners at the game.
Where are all the young kids and families?
Are they not coming down as much as before because games are played on a Sun.
During the summer there is a lot more choice for families to do things.
Would more come down on a Sat/Fri as it would leave Sun for them to have a family day.
