From Keighley Albion there will be 88 kids and adults going. For a lot of them it will be there first cougar game so there's a lot of excitement amongst them.
Hope Ben stead gets in as he has kindly offered his free time to come to a few training sessions for the u9s and is becoming a favourite with the kids, would be good for them to see him play. To be honest it will be great for them to see as many of the local lads as possible and give them something to aim for.
Hope for a Keighley win but can't judge this one as Halifax have had some strange results so far this season. Hopefully a good attendance of around 1,300 - 1,500 with it been a Thursday night.
Does anyone know what option Marchy is going for in the halfbacks? I can think of arguments for moving experienced players around to cover and I can also think of arguments to bring in one of the young half backs too.
I wonder where Marchy can watch the game. No obvious hills or gaps in fences? Perhaps a crane?
Quote: Dominance "I hope the wider pitch at the Shay may suit our style of play. I was very impressed with Tiger yesterday who had his best game for the Cougars (from the games I've seen at least). Lets hope he can take this form into that game. Think we just need to tighten up that defence. We didn't wrap the ball up a number of times yesterday and better teams will punish us. If Jones is out maybe theres a chance for Ben Stead to make his name?!'"
WATCH AND LEARN,,, (CLOWN ) 'BEN STEAD' SCORED BOTH TRY'S WHEN WE PLAYED YOU,, HE HAS A 85% PLACE KICKING RECORD,, GOD KNOWS HOW MANY 40/20s HES KICKED... HES ONLY 20 YEARS OLD. ( that's enough of me shouting) so if your going to the match Charlie boy,, WATCH AND LEARN COUGARRRRS
Got to knuckle down after that result. Unfortunately wasn't there to see how they performed. Hope the team can focus now and get the result we need against Workington.
For all the players looking in, please can we beat them
Sorry to say but we did you yet again, I have only seen us lose to Keighley at home once in that cup game up at Thrum Hall famous for the Fax team not playing second half to get rid of Steve Simms the then coach.
I cannot recall another defeat for us at home in 40 plus years apart from possibly the low point for Fax in the seventies when we only won 2 games all season and finished bottom of the 2nd Division but not sure I was there.
Met up some of your opposites tonight in the Three Pigeons, Keighley Fax fans, 4 of them!
