Yes Wigan Reserves my daughter tweeted that to Radio Leeds . Richie Barnett saved the day twice, once miraculously catching a loose Worky pass from behind his back 2 metres from his line and later sliding his legs to put off a Worky player from picking up to score after a wicked rebound off the upright . Great resolve today. Wish we could fit Ben Stead in somehow these missed kicks could prove vital in what looks like being a lot of close games!
Well, what a comeback! That's the sort of thing other teams usually do to us. I have to say that I wasn't overly confident when we were 16-4 down at half time, and then when they scored again to take it to 22-4 I didn't really think we had a way back. Up to that final quarter and our 'flurry' of scores in quick succession, I thought we'd looked a bit sluggish and a little slow. Some good possession and position had gone to waste by that time as well. However, the lads turned it right round towards the end with some great play; I really enjoyed Josh's try under the sticks after the little kick through - clever play. And then of course the last one which put us level at 22-22 - glad Tiger kicked that one! All in all, a good day out for our first visit to Workington - a pleasant drive over, blue skies all day, views across the Solway Firth to south-west Scotland and, most importantly, a win for the lads. A big test next week v the Eagles. Come on COUGARS!
Yesterdays great result has prompted me to finally register on here. A big well done to all the lads and hope we can have the same attitude next week. If we do....we're unstoppable
