Att 398 I have a feeling it will be awful this weekend.

The inconsistent way we have been playing of late makes this very difficult to call.

If we play like we did against Sheffield it will be a close game.

If we play like we did against Doncaster and Dewsbury we will loose the bonus point.

If it rains it could just even things up.

John Kear will moan about the size of the pitch (like theirs), the slope (like theirs), the size of the in goal areas (like theirs) and the soft toilet paper (they use that hard crinkly Izal stuff - it's what men use!). He will then continue to moan about our regular referral to that 1994 match where they came to fight and we battered them saying, "you shouldn't keep living in the past". He will then spend half an hour waxing lyrical about how he coached Sheffield in the 1998 Challenge cup final against Wigan

Not too concerned about this game if I'm honest, this is a cup game, these are nice to win and progress in when the team are playing well and up the top end of the table but imo the league matters so much more this season.

We can not afford to slip up and be relegated and a cup game in the middle of a season could see unnecessary injuries.

I would not play my first 17 but a combination of the first team and some youngsters, this would give the youngsters a hand in with the first team to see how they cope and rest first team players that we wouldn't want to expose to unnecessary injuries.

I know that's not what people want to hear but that is exactly how I would play it to give us a fighting chance in the championship

I would tend to agree. Whilst we need a confidence boost, I would include some of our Under 20's to give them a shot. Survival is more important that this cup and the last thing we want is more injuries. We don't want to do a Wigan Athletic! It may also be a time to freshen things up and maybe give some of our under performers time on the sidelines.

If we play with a younger side I can see Batley running up 30/40 points. A full strength squad should make it more competitive but honestly I can still see a 12 to 18 points margin to Batley.
