Its getting a bit boring now is this thread only 2 people who are very BORING and living too much in the past!, no i didnt see the game last night but I had another person telling me all about the game and considering the scores we didnt do bad at all compared to other games last season under JD coaching. As for coach, you can spend all the money you have, get the top coach and still may get the same result or even worse!

If I may be excused for boring you all to death with some stats

, if we had played the same fixtures last season as this (we didn't play Whitehaven last season) our record would be:
(2012) W 2 D 0 L 3 F 62 A 97 Pts 7
(2013) W 0 D 0 L 5 F 68 A 154 Pts 2.
Against these same sides last year we scored 12 tries a 7 goals. This year 12 tries and 10 goals.
On tries against they come in these periods: 0-10 (3), 10-20 (4), 20-39 (5), 30-40 (8), 40-50 (6), 50-60 (7), 60-70 (7), 70-80 (1) so it shows we are reasonably solid in the first 20 minutes but need to tighten up before half time and straight after. Korky coming off the bench last season will have helped with this!
So this "disastrous" season may not be as bad as it is viewed. We need to tighten up the defence though and stop the soft tries and take points off the the lower sides in the league.

No offence Len but you cant take any of that into account. Completely different teams and coaches.

Yet again on here somebody comes on here with a reasoned well researched and valid point and its dismissed so trivially so you can continue the moaning -its like listening to old ladies on a bus !!!

Without putting words into Rach's mouth I think there are those that are debating on emotion and those that are trying to back up what they say with actual evidence. There also appear to be those that ignore anything that does not suit their argument



We should have three separate forums:

The "Doom and Gloomers", who can talk themselves into an ever decreasing spiral of despair until they disappear in a puff of [i"I told you so's"[/i.

The "Sunshine and lighters", who can become increasingly more euphoric and elated that they float away and explode, humming [i"always look on the bright side of life......"[/i.

Well done Lawkholme Len brilliant stats it’s good to know someone has such dedication I enjoyed reading them . However the facts are after a quarter of the season we are 2 points adrift at the bottom of the table with the worst points for and against. It hurts me to say in all honesty currently we are the worst team in the Championship.
There is no point in bickering with each other on this forum we need be honest and analyse why. It starts with the following simple questions.
Have all the other clubs got a larger playing budget than Cougars….No
Have other clubs got injuries to players in their squads….Yes
Have all the other clubs got better players than Cougars….No
Having had a season in the Championship should our players be better prepared at this level than the promoted clubs….Yes
Should we be better than the four clubs that finished below us last season….Yes
Have other clubs got better DR players than us….Debatable
Are other clubs better organised than Cougars on the field …Yes
Is Paul March a good leader on the field….No
This last two points are the reason why we have yet to win a game, there is no other excuses! PM was responsible for player recruitment in the off season, tactics for each game and general leadership on and off the field.
As I mentioned in my first ever post on this issue,the day of reckoning is fast approaching for Paul March, it has now arrived nothing less than a win against York will be acceptable. Failing that please step aside as I have no faith in the Directors replacing you.
