Just returned home from tonights event with Harry al Hill and our partners And I have to say what a fantastic evening! The only downside was the attendance was without exaggeration a really poor turnout.I wouldve liked to of thought the event wouldve been better attended,maybe next time more may give a chance,the comedians were brilliant and had travelled a fair distance,hats off to them.

Olympics

I have to say that although I was looking forward to the evening I too was gutted to be missing the Olympics, it really is very special this time around and makes me feel very proud to be British.
Having said that, it really was a fantastic evening with two very different and very funny comedians.
I understand that there is another comedy evening planned for September & I would urge everyone to come along, bring friends too, it is a great evenings entertainment at a more than reasonable price.
I for one am looking forward to it, well done Gary, a great idea to hold these comedy evenings

What style of comedy was it, was it close to the bone stuff, picking on the audience or just standard comedy. I have to agree with the comment regarding the Olympics because I too am glued to the box at the minute and I know a lot of people that said "well I aren't bothered about the olympics" and now they have the bug just like most of the country at the minute. Must say really enjoying the Beach Volley Ball, might have to start watching more of it

Just one suggestion when advertising the next comedy night, not everyone especially our season ticket holders use the forums, facebook and twitter actually internet in general to keep up to date with whats happening at the club and this seems to be our main way of communicating with our fans. I have the statistics that show this from my time at the club from all the questions I asked fans when buying their season tickets for those of you that remember

TBH all those forms of comedy were covered very well between the two comedians, I will say that it was more light banter with the audience rather than any picking going on and it was well accepted by those interacting as a result.

I agree with your point regarding the publicising of the event and I know my wife made it very clear to Gary that it was a very poor effort to get word of the evening across to th general public, she has now threatened to get involved with promoting the next comedy evening so I'm more than confident that there will be a major improvement seen on this part
