The crossbar challenge should be promoted more , there should be more people selling the tickets. I'm sure the club could find more people to sell them , it is an easy fund raiser that in my opinion would appeal to most spectators.
Imagine how many tickets could be sold at the Warrington game alone if there was a few more people selling them.
I would volunteer for the matches that I attend , anyone else ?????
It definately hasn't been happening because no one has been calling out the numbers at half time or entering the pitch to have a go, i think this was a great idea by the club when started a couple of seasons ago and i always spent £5.00 a game on it. I think the first season the amount you could win was £1000 and then last season it was £2000, i was hoping it would have gone up again this season as i agree with burley cougar this surely is making money for the club because you have the winning pot put to one side so the rest can go into the club, community or squad builder.
I don't think man power is a problem now with all the cadets running around the place and i remember when it first started there was a lady walking around with a t-shirt selling the tickets which i thought looked good as the t-shirt looked smart. I know i seem to be always having a pop at the club on here but these are only my opinions which i think are valid points, if the club is not doing the crossbar challenge after it becoming popular with the fans and especially after getting people used to seeing it and like myself looking for a seller every week so i can hopefully have a go. We will probably never get to know but where is the winning money now, after all we have payed into every week and why has it stopped been sold. seems to me another great idea to make probably only little money has dried up again but doesn't every penny count. it must have done at least £100 a home game.
Surely a bit of organisation by the powers that be with half a dozen people trying to sell to as many people as possible , then giving it a big build up at half time and getting the crowd geed up a bit by getting them to do a count down from 5 before the person takes the kick.........A fun & easy money maker !!!
