| Whitehaven were far superior to us today. They were faster, more inventive, and much keener. We had nothing to match their half-backs and in a game where we wern't dominating in the forwards as we have so far this season we had nothing to trouble them. Our attack is virtually none existent, and we are totally incabable of scoring from more than ten yards out. As someone else has said we might as well not have any backs as our one move seems to be to drive the ball up the field as near to the centre of the field as possible, if it moves too far wide we desperately move it back inside.
i have got to say that so far this season I have seen some of the most boring matches i have ever seen watching keighley. Dewbury, Hunslet, both Rochdale games, the second half at Gateshead and today were enough to send you to sleep.

| Ref the half backs.
When every body is fit JD and Luke will play together because in the tolouse game they played well together, whereas drake and ryan smith have been playing together for the reserves and against gateshead so maybe JD should have kept that partneship together for todays game.
As for the game today apart from the 1st 10 mins the cougars were playing to much one man rugby down the middle and no kicking game, example in the 1st half on the last tackle Buster threw a pass out to Gav Duffy and he was tackled into touch where as a grubber kick would have turn the defence and giver Gav a better chance of scoring, hopefully this will be the kick up the backside they have needed after the last game and ahalf and we can move on and give the fans something to cheer about next week against Oldham, finally i must say thankyou to the players for coming over and showing there appreciation for the support they got today .

| I have to agree with noddy on that one.
Two well taken trys by Gavin Duffy brought us back in to the game in the second half.
So it's Oldham next Sunday and we can not afford any more slip ups if we are to get promoted.

One try by Duffy. Belcher got the other.

| Also Paul Drake Scored a perfectly good try that the ref said was called short. It was right under my nose and I filmed it. This would have given us a bonus point.

| Thanks for video Mick. Sums up what people have been saying. I agree with Loyal fan. Belcher should have put his body on the line in that situation, but he probably knows that. Belcher for me has been a little dissapointing this season and certainly needs some work if he's to live up to that potential. Some work for JD to do. Oldham were well beaten yesterday so they'll also be wanting a win. All makes for interesting clash and am gutted I'm going to miss it due to work commitments. I just hope the women take advatnage for the offer and there is a large crowd to spur the lads on to what I hope will be win number 3!

| I have to disagree on the Belcher front.
I think we forget he is still a young a relatively inexperienced player who missed much of last season with injury. I also saw him break the grip of 3 players to get over the line to score our first try. He also put in some critical tackles.
Whilst we are having a go at Belch it is also worth remembering he is the second highest scorer in the team in competitive games this season and only Lawton Duffy and Cartledge have scored more tries.
The people who say he never put his body on the line didn't see the bruises he travelled home with on his face.

Well that may be his problem.
He wants to stop tackling with his face

What I spoke about was that incident where, in my opinion, any decent full back should have taken that ball. I did't say that he NEVER puts his body on the line.
You've seen more games that me this season Mick so I'll bow to your game time knowledge, but considering Toulouse in the Challenge cup was JD's strongest team (his words). Where was Belcher?
