I remember Leeds sending a team of kids not so long ago, and they put about 50 points past the Cougars.

I would rather see a close match against Saints U20's than a one-sided affair with some of their stars in. nobody was complaining when the Cougars got stuffed by the Bulls a couple of years ago but then beat them back when they fielded a reserve side the following year. I seem to remember quite a few contented faces in fact. I also thought we would all be happy for any Rugby.

This was an opportunity to get new blood down to cougar park,sadly we have been dumped on.

Spot on Steve, i'm sure our players would want to test themselves against the best too, one day they could tell their kids/grandkids they lined up against an all time great like Keiron Cunningham.

The result is irrelevant, after all it's pre season. But at least we'd see a pro team down at cougar park.

Even a few stars with some kids would of done but this just shows us a lack of respect.

They could have quite easily have put just five or six first teamers in, probably ones not on international duty. Like Wellens, Pryce, Cunningham and Hargreaves with Flannery and Fa'asavalu on the bench. Rest filled by Saints best promising youngsters.

What a joke. People see in Keighley News Saints are coming to Cougar Park, most probably realise that they wont send there first team but they hope they will have a good sprinkling of first team players in the squad. They then look in next weeks Keighley News or on the internet and see there is not one regular first teamer. They then think I aint going to see their second string Ill a) save my money and wait till train spotters cup/ championship starts b) Ill go to one of the other friendlies where the Super League team is playing first teamers.

Wonder how many people think like this? I cant see the attendance being anymore than 1200 at best.

Well done Saints, first class attitude towards a lower league club with financial difficulties.

Hope even more than normal that you bottle in Super League again and have a second season trophyless
