Quote: Stealth Comic "Now is not the time to be blaming people. The questions that need to be answered are WHY and HOW.
Why did we not pay the taxman when we should have?
Why was the financial outlook for us made out to look good when clearly it isn't?
How are we going to get through this?
How are we going to ensure this predicament doesn't happen yet again.
Many of the people at the club have done a fantastic job and we should keep supporting them, it's what being a real fan is about staying with them through thick and thin.'"
I agree, but this has come as a huge shock to all the loyal fans, we have had a big boost with a good win over Oldham that secured us promotion, the club put on a great offer for a season ticket which many have taken up on, then this 'announcement' comes and knocks us all for six making us wonder if we have thrown our money away and lost a club we have our hearts in for reasons as yet unknown, I'm sure that it has been a blow for the directors but at least they saw it coming - or should have!, I have no doubt that the club will overcome this problem but when are Keighley ever going to be able to move forward?, the idea that we may qualify for super league in the future seems an amazing dream, I get the feeling the RFL will laugh at us as we seem able to build a team but unable to balance books and invest in the ground - something tells me that history will repeat itself when the time comes and the team Keighley build will fall apart to the big guns once more - I don't doubt that the club is capable of building a team, just that we will never be taken seriously if we can't sustain what we have and build on it
