Lucas ran the show today, the lad was everywhere bossing the midfield just like the last time we played United. Scholes and Carrick never had a minute to settle on the ball. His composure and getting forward to support the attack was probably the best he's ever shown in a Liverpool shirt. It's a pity he can't tackle though, gives away far too many niggly fouls in dangerous areas and should have been booked.

Torres and Villa are the best snickers in the world, for me.

A game of inches...if Torres' shot had been an inch higher it would have hit the bar, Valencia's an inch lower would have been a goal.

An absolutely shockingly inept performance from Marriner and the 2 linesmen, how Lucas didnt get booked and Berbatov got booked for one challenge (after he'd been fouled himself!!) is beyond belief...Carragher should have walked without a shadow of a doubt as a) he stopped a clear goal scoring opportunity and b) he should have been booked for hauling Rooney down earlier in the half...no qualms about the Vidic sending-off though.

However, the ref was only as inept as Nited were so no complaints on that score - we deserved f++k all and got f++k all...proved once again that you cannot start Giggs and Scholes in midfield in a big away game any more unless Fletcher and/or Anderson are playing...poor decision from Fergal for me.

I wonder if there'll be an inquest into the 2nd goal coming in the 6th minute of 5 minutes of injury time too??

And it also keeps Fat Rafa in a job...it appears that Nited v Liverpool is now a role-reversal of the 80s with the champions struggling to beat a team that is never going to win the league but is always up for the 2 games per season

also i have no idea why Fergie continues to persist with Nani the guy is next to useless.

Liverpool fully deserved the 3 points. United were way off the pace. Ref was right to send Vidic off, but no idea why Carragher didn't walk.
Still United or Chelsea for the title and still Liverpool to finish top four.

Hmmm the irony.

United were poor and deserved nothing from the game however the referee was awful. Carragher should have gone for two yellows and Lucas should have been booked. It was the type of game wehn we really missed Fletcher and I could not undertsand why Anderson was not used in his absence!
