Pellegrini will have his hands full next season. There's going to be a lot of big time Charlie players to keep happy. My guess is he won't do it, Raul will have a quiet word in Florentino's ear and he'll be gone by Easter.

Does nobody else think it's strange and rather short-sighted how Madrid have bought two attacking midfielders and are close to siging a forward (Villa) when their biggest problem last year was the defence?

Well yes. But I gather they will be getting Alonso from Liverpool plus a new centre half to replace Cannarvero. |

From what I've heard they want Villa and will try and get Alonso.
They are thinking of bringing Garay back fromRacing and using him to cover the absence of Cannavaro. |

No. Not in the slightest. This is Real Madrid we're talking about!
They've got Garay to come back, unless he's given another season at Racing which rather defeats the point of signing him for £9m 12 months ago.

Well he did bring in Walter Samuel. He just did not really perform in La Liga. |

I agree, although I read today a interview with Cannavaro and he was saying that they need about 5 signings most of them attacking players. |

I expect Garay to come back and replace him. Metzhelder, if fully fit will be like a new signing and Pepe showed moments of just why they signed him.

I'd go with that upto now. But I meant if Maicon was brought in at RB?
Maicon Ramos Pepe Clichy seems very good attacking wise anyhow.
Who do people see as the better RB? Maicon or Dani Alves? Although I haven't seen much or Maicon tbh he always seems to get in the Brazil team ahead of Alves. Is that how most on here see it as Maicon the better player?
