I was thinking similar, but elsewhere in the ground was a St. George's flag with 'Ponte Carlo' written across it. Pride restored.
Regarding Lee Clark, he's made some great signings and got the team playing some very attractive football - they're infinitely better to watch than they have been in recent seasons, probably since Stewart was knocking them in for fun. If Town can sort their away form out I think they're in with a real shout for promotion. If they don't make it there could be one or two clubs coming in for Pilkington, Rhodes et al. |

Wes Brown was absolutely shocking. One of the worst defensive international performances I have seen.
In fairness to Wayne Bridge, he's useless at club level too.  |

He clearly isn't ready for international level football. On his day Brown is a very good defender but this is not it. I know it's only a friendly but he has been picked based on his club not his form. |

I'm not talking about his maturity I'm talking about a matter of form and fitness. I think when he is at the top of his game he can be good enough although he might not be the top defender in the country in a friendly or pressure free game he is dependable. At the moment he has come back from a long layoff and like most of United's defence hasn't been playing well. He shouldn't be in the England team that being the case. |
