dunno about that, Allardyce must be lolling like mad, and double checking his bank balance.

Best decision John Williams has made in years getting rid of Ince and bringing in Allardyce. Now with the money we should get for RSC he can start to shape the team how he wants it.Great send off for Tugay today from the crowd,he'll go down as a Rovers legend.

Well Nolan better not think he's coming back to the Reebok.

They wanted a more exciting, unpredictable style of football that would return them to the place where they belong, and they got it.
What's the problem?
What they need is some big geordie name from the past to come in and act as a massianic figurehead for the neecastle masses.
Jimmy Nail?

The initial quote was that Shearer said that previous managers weren't good enough, inferring that it was purely the fault of past managers and it wasn't his fault.
That wasn't what Shearer said in any way.

| Quote: Lord God Jose Mourinho "and it wasn't his fault.

In fairness the team he took over was hardly challenging for the title were they????
I listened to the interview myself and I'm pretty sure he said
'I wasn't good enough, the team weren't good enough, past managers weren't good enough and the owners have made mistakes'
A fair and honest assessment in my book. I don't think he was trying to blame anybody else at all. The whole club that is Newcastle Utd is just a big fooking mess!

| Quote: Lord God Jose Mourinho "Just watched Shearer's interview on SSN.
Don't think that Shearer said a word wrong TBH. He didn't say that the previous managers weren't good enough, he said that the players weren't good enough, he wasn't good enough, Ashley wasn't good enough, and included Kinnear and Keegan in with that. One name he didn't mention was Sam Allardyce, for obvious reasons.'"
That's exactly as I saw it too. I have to say that I never liked Shearer as a player for many, many reasons. However, in the last few weeks Shearer the manager has actually grown on me. His honesty in the last few weeks has been a refreshing change & while he's clearly never looked up to the job it's been difficult not to admire his candid assesments of his team's "performances" & the fact that he had the balls to deal with Barton in a way that his previous managers have seemed incapable.

| I wonder if our chairman is 'entertaining' the idea of us being relegated now, deluded, ignorant prick.

| I'm not a Shearer fan one bit, but I thought his interview was great, really. He's right, you've got to strip that club & start again. The playing staff, if you think that lot will get you back up, think again, they wouldn't have a prayer. Newcastle need to get rid, get what money they can they sign players who'll get them out of that division.
You can see some obvious exits, Bassong will now go to Arsenal, Barton to Bolton, maybe Nolan to Blackburn. Others they'll get money for probably Martins, Jonas, Taylor, Enrique. You'd imagine Harper will stay, maybe Butt, Ameobi, not many though.
It's going to need some canny movement in transfer market, a few favours & probably a bit of luck, but they will attract players, still. He just needs to look past this 'Premiership Quality' thing that people get hung up on, get players who'll get you out of that division.
If I was Shearer I'd be trying to bring the likes of Beckford, David Healy, maybe Frazier Campbell on a years loan or that Gibson. Get some width, Jobi McAnuff or a couple of them Arsenal kids, Merida or Jack Wilshire etc.

| LMFAO
When the news filtered through they'd gone down I did a little sex wee.
They deserve it. The fans forced out allardyce and if he'd been in charge none of this would have happened.
The fans had a huge reaction to keegan leaving forcing ahsley to try and sell and leaving the club to rot in limbo for even longer.
This was an ego trip from shearer. He had so many chances in the past to tajke over but did it now.
Big contracts and no relegation clauses
Hopefully they'll have some financial trouble.

I would honestly be surprised if Allardyce was interested now.
