| The officials in the NFCCG should be banned from doing the play-offs ever again after the play where Navarro Bowman got hurt, absolutely shocking from them all to miss the fact he had the ball. Would have looked even worse if Seattle hadn't of fumbled on the next play so they got away with it. How he held on to the ball after that injury aswell is beyond me
The NFCCG was a great game to watch as a neutral, just hope the SB is as good and hoping for a Seahawks win cos I love their D. That and the fact I could never 'support' Denver or a Manning team
Denver were brilliant against us and dominated from start to finish, their offensive and defensive lines won them the game, We just weren't at the races and some of our playcalling was baffling. Fair play to the Broncos though they deserved to get to the superbowl after the season they've had.
Think we definitely have the best two teams in the league in the SB and looking forward to it.

| Always good to put your divisional rivals in their place :wink
I have some concerns with Seattle's offense though, the Broncos will start as favourites and will be the neutrals choice with the "Manning effect".

There was also the running into the kicker penalty which should have been roughing, the way that Andy Lees foot bent could have caused a nasty injury too, but being fair even though the Whitner helmet to helmet was the wrong call I could see how an official could see it that way at full speed. Tremendous game though and I thought that we were going to do it, although with 2 timeouts left I'm not sure that Kaepernick needed to go deep for the endzone when he did.

Nice Super Bowl match up and hopefully Denver wins it.'"
I thought that he was going to explode or drop a few expletives about the 49ers. At least at the presentation his interview was more subdued.

That was a gruesome sight seeing Bowman's leg go like that.

| I think the SB will be a bit of a let down in comparison to some of the quality games we've had in the play-offs.
I think it will be Denver by a score or two. I just can't see Seattle being able to stop Manning enough to be able to outscore him.

| I think the weather is going to make a massive difference if it snows like they're saying it could (like it is ATM) then I think it will be a great leveller and could be a very low scoring game.
With any luck the snow will cause them to cancel the HT show aswell, don't mind the Red Hot Chilli Peppers but Bruno Mars sucks ass.

I hope it doesn't snow. Unlike what a lot of people say, it isn't "real football". The games earlier in the season were absolutely terrible spectacles once the initial novelty wore off. I know people don't like the fact that passing has become easier but bad weather just ruins the game.

I wouldn't be hoping for it to be snowing but it is definately "real football". "real football" is played in any conditions not just in climate controlled domes.
If it snowing and you can't run the ball then it is your own fault for not building a team to cope with all conditions. if you have to come out of a climate controlled stadium and can't handle the cold that is your own fault.

It's not really an argument from a dome team perspective. A team like Green Bay obviously play in cold conditions and has in recent years always had a good passing game. I'm talking about when the weather gets so bad that it drags the game down to such a level that it isn't that great to watch. Saying that, I do still like the fact that games carry on regardless of weather but bad weather games generally bore me to tears. I like a good low scoring defensive battle but when the ball is barely travelling in the air and players look like they're trying to run across quicksand, it bores me. I get the feeling that most people have this romanticised, nostalgic view of snow games because I don't understand how people can enjoy watching them.

| It doesn't matter to me either way, I understand both of your points, two of the best games of the year were in snow/cold games Miami@Pittsburgh , Vikings@Ravens, some of the best games in NFL history were cold weather games as well.

I think it comes down to preparation and discipline/mental toughness when it gets in bad weather situations. Something which, understandably, dome teams/warm weather teams don't have. Many games are played in horrible conditions but the games are still good because both teams are prepared for it. eg. Packers v Giants (Brett's last game) which was the second coldest game ever and the week before when we played Seattle in a blizzard.
I'm not actively hoping for poor weather but i think it is excellent that the opportunity is there for changing conditions.

| Made me laugh last night when watching sky sports news. One of the presenters asking (and being serious) if the Super Bowl 'was in any doubt and could it be cancelled' what do they think this is Soccerball?
I don't mind watching games in any weather aslong as it's not a blow-out. Did find it quite annoying during the Eagles/Lions snow game this year though, but that was cos I couldn't actually see the game at the start when it was a blizzard and that was on my tv so can't imagine what it was like in the stadium!
What's this new pro bowl format about anyway? Only seen bits of it but have to say it looks just as pathetic as it usually does if not more so, just a lot of rubbish to fill tv slots. Don't see how it's gonna make the actual game itself more competitive/exciting so it's pretty pointless IMO.

It seems the Pro Bowl teams are drafted by two former players instead of fans deciding who they would like to see. Deion Sanders is one and the other is Jerry Rice. It was quite dumb to hear the report on SSN about whether the Super Bowl will go ahead ( of course it will ). I thought the Eagles vs. Lions game was enhanced by the lovely snow coming down as it did and made for fun viewing but I doubt the fans in the stadium enjoyed it too much.

| Having played in the snow last year, I can say it's awesome. We only had to clear the lines on the pitch, so we had a nice 6 inch thick cushion to land on.
Much better than playing on a waterlogged bog or on a rock solid pitch.
