Expect a fire-sale of the best players (and David Odonkor) at Betis over the summer. They were in a bad state financially beforehand so god knows what relegation will do to them.
For some reason I'm quite glad Osasuna have stayed up. I think its my soft spot for Walter 'The Rifle' Pandiani.

The sizeable lunatic element of the Betis support makes me have little sympathy for their plight, and the players and boardroom hardly hold much appeal either.
Wouldn't be too surprised to see them fall further given the financial fall-out relegation brings, and the utter incompetence of the owners.

Five out of the 7 non-La Liga players are from Liverpool and despite having an outstanding season Victor Valdés has been overlooked yet again.

Valdes is terrible, and if he was playing for a lower team he'd be shown up for it, he shouldn't be anywhere near the Spain squad!

The only keeper to have conceded less than a goal a game this season. He's had one of his best seasons and to say that on performances alone López deserves a call up more than him his comical.
Nice relaxing summer for Victor and he'll be back fresh for the start of next season looking to help Barça defend their titles.
Maybe Forlan will be sharing the Camp Nou dressing room with him sometime soon. |

As it should be. Diego Lopez is better than Valdes and has had an outstanding season.
For all their trophies, I still think Valdes is a flapper. Not as error-prone as he used to be but IMO Del Bosque perfectly justified in leaving him out. |
