To be honest, the first call on Lucas was shocking. Higginbotham should have been sent off today, the tackle on Lucas and the foul that resulted in our goal both warranted bookings IMO. He also got the assist on their equalizer. I know I sound bitter, but the referees were very incompetent today, in times like these, we're desperate for anything, any bit of luck we can get, any call, but we're just not getting them.

We need to master the art of tackling like Lee Carsley. Slide in, don't get the ball but do enough to block the run of the player, denying him a goal



As far as I'm concerned, N'Gog made that more theatrical than needs be, but I don't think Carsley deserved to get away with such a poor tackle that denied a goalscoring opportunity without getting the ball.

It's happened at least 3 times to us this season when a player has gone down after clear contact in the box and the ref waves it away.

Pretty lazy from Lineker, he can have his own opinion but he's just stirring.

As for Jones, fingers crossed it isn't true. I've never rated him, although I'd like to get rid of Babel, Jones wouldn't strike me as a good replacement.
