Seems a done deal and falls on the same weekend as Murrayfield Magic which is superb. It'll be in Vegas aswell not at Wembley. Hatton plans to start training 12 weeks before the clash, which shows his intentions.

Hatton definately.
De La Hoya starved himself to 143lbs at one point to make sure he made 147lbs which affected him so bad his stomach shrank to the point where he barely put on 2lbs after the weigh-in up to the fight.
Pacquiao is a great fighter but his victory over De La Hoya was a distorted one given the physical state of De La Hoya.
Hatton believes he cannot be beat at 140lbs and I agree with him, he will bully Pacquiao and win IMO.

Pacquiao will be more comfortable at 140 too though. I think it has the makings of fight of the year already anyway, and I can't wait!
I think the mexicutioner will have a bit too much for Hatton.. But saying that, no one knows what Hatton will be like with so much time with Mayweather Sr

I agree with that. Hatton victory late on.

| Hatton fighting at his preferred weight makes it more interesting but I cannot see him winning tbh.
Pacquiao is another level.

| David Haye's fight with Vitali Klitschko has been cancelled due to Klitschko's mandatory defence against Chris Arreola. Haye now looks set to face his brother. This could be a blessing in disguise for Haye.

| Could Jennings v Cotto produce the underdog story of the year on February 21st? How much did that defeat to Margarito take out of Cotto's tank and is he too busy looking past Jennings to a rematch or Pacquiao?

Not a chance. It would be the biggest upset in boxing since Douglas/Tyson.
From what I hear, Amir Khan has landed a fight with Barrera (yes, the Mexican legend). Now when I was first told this I laughed and thought Khan would get KOed, but thinking about it, Barrera is really a featherweight (at the most) who'll be fighting at lightweight. And he's 35, which is REALLY old for a lightweight fighter. I'm convinced Warren wouldn't make this fight if he thought Khan would lose badly.

If Jennings had been up in that class and got battered previously then that would have been my take on it as well. Thing is, for whatever reason he hasn't so no-one knows how he'll cope with the step up. I just get the feeling Cotto might be taking him too lightly.
