Judging by the last two days of Championship cricket, some bookmakers in Notts and Derbyshire are going to take a right caning on Durham winning the title.

Unless the ECB pitch inspector gets brought in, already 12 wickets in half a day.

Durham seem to have steadied the ship, though. I believe Notts have been poor recently, so the scoreline wasn't that big a shock, although I would have expected a few more on the board...

Lancs sign Jos Buttler,good for the one day comps but can the regular Lancs watchers on here give a view on if he's better than what we had this season.

I'd say so, yes. I'm worried that he's likely to end up playing more for England, though. On a brief aside, Davies is a good 'keeper and knows which way up to hold a bat. Given a few regular chances and learning of the experience of Buttler then he can become a very, very good player.
