I disagree.

Cadle and Halling (particularly Halling) are bad at times, but at least they are trying to be professional, the fact they are often wrong is quite annoying though. That said Carlson is just completely terrible. He constantly makes really poor jokes which is made worse by the fact HE thinks he is hilarious (I remember he was over-joyed with the nickname Atari "Video Game" Bigby for an entire broadcast). Plus he just comes across as completely unprofessional.

Maybe I just don't get his humour but I think even if I did there is alot to be said for coming across professionally.

I don't find his jokes funny either. His constant references to players playing in NFL Europe gets annoying as well. It's worth putting up with that though for his analysis because he's spot on with what he says most of the time and sees things on the field that Cadle and Halling would never be able to notice. They either point out the blatantly obvious or just talk absolute crap half the time.

I'd say that's pretty much spot on. Carlsons analysis is brilliant.

Carlson is a decent analyst but not that great. Certainly not enough to off-set the rest of his failings IMO.

Sure he is a highlight reel machine with his hits but nearly every time i've seen the Steelers he is beaten a couple of times by trying to make ridiculous hits.
