The look of fear in Kenny's eyes to this day when talking about Hillsborough is shocking. Also Bruce's comments are very honest, i don't know how i would have reacted seeing that happening.

Its good to see that Bruce and the players have no blame with the fans and are willing to put their opinions out to everyone.

Watching the memorial service on BBC New channel now, its chilling.

RIP the 96

Lets consider some of the good things that have come out of this Disaster.

Then Hundreds of Ticketless fans turned up and created a mass crush killing 96 people.
Now Travelling without a ticket is now strongly discouraged. Ticketless fans are now (often) prohibnited from getting so close to the ground. The the Punishment for attempeting to enter a ground without a ticket is now an offence.

Then At grounds across the country crowds were fenced in like animals.
Now We have some fantastic stadiums across the country now.

Then Decisions by the Police led to hundreds of ticketless fans being let into an already packed enclosure.
Now The Taylor report was a Water shed in polcing of major sporting events!

Asks the question

If this never happened, would we still be fenced in like animals at games in 2009?

Potentially, they still are at some European grounds.

Seeing the faces and names of the 96 really hit me I don't cry alot but I was in bits when they showed that.

That's what my 13 year old said at the end of the Memorial Service when all the names and photos were shown. I just looked at him and the thought of him going to any game and him not returning just breaks my heart.

Liverpool TV on Sky 434 is free today and has programmes looking back all day. Some very interesting interviews on there.

It always makes me shudder when I watch European games and still see the cages at the bottom of stands.
