ah well good luck for the season ahead,
maybe a promotion for both clubs at the end of this season

Too much too soon I think for Ilkeston another Top 10 finish whilst the new owners bed in would do us as when you look at the Conference itself unless you are a big club like Newport (and I dare say yourselves if you get back up there) it could end up doing more harm than good unless the structure and finance is there so you can punch above your weight as the likes of Tamworth and Hayes do.
Still if it comes to the last day and promotion is there for the taking I wouldn't say no

well we could be your opponents next season cause another promotion is defonately the aim for us.
we struggled financially when we were in the conference thats the main reason we are in the league we are in.
getting back to the legue is where my dreams are for my club

| Halifax certainly won't have it all their own way in Evo-Stik Prem, plenty of sides in that league who can spring a surprise and some tricky away trips.
We at Leigh have seen most of our team follow Garry Flitcroft to Chorleigh but have got a record of two wins and a draw from our three pre-season games, which is hopefully a good indication of another positive season, especially as we now have our own ground after binning off the dreamers at LSV and moving down the road to Crilly Park in Atherton.

Oh i certainly don't expect it to be like last season, infact i would be happy with the play offs.
there are a few sides that worry me FC United being one of them.
i am expecting a play off campaign this season, we have the squad to win the league.
good luck to Leigh next season, i actually enjoyed going to a proper football ground last year, you were unlucky not to win in both the games we played last season.
i will be hoping for you to win in the play offs- i want Lancatser to win the league this year though as they deserved to go up last year, through the play offs, we deserved the title

| Expect similar to last year for York. Though if Brodie does get snapped up before the season we will quickly drop back into the also ran pile. Young is meant to be good at the back but I haven't seen enough of him to comment, Purcell is a signing I like as he will be on little money and could easily come off. Worried a club will make a move for Meredith, our left back, who has come on leaps and bounds from his struggles early last year to become a superb player.
Top 5 should be the target with an outside chance of us taking the title.

well i have some info on Greg Young as he used to play for my club.
he is a good defender at that level but has had problems with his shoulders, so if he lands awkwadly on it after a leap for the ball he might be out for a lenghy stint.
if you keep him fit you have a good defender though, didnt do much wrong for Halifax,

I am not being big headed but i expected us to be one of the favourates despite just being promoted, i did expect FC United to be joint favourates, i wonder why the bookies don't see them as a real threat.
3 seasons though for Halifax at this level and we have been favourates every season so far, its nice to be a big team for once in these levels.
You support Ilkeston don't you if i remember right, what league are they in now??? how are there preperations for the new season????'"
It's because we were bloody awful for the majority of last season. However the big weaknesses we had appear to have been resolved. Such as 2 new dominant centre halves and a central midfield playmaker with Nicky Platt's return. A couple of old boys have returned too in Moses and Torpey.
Add the signing of Norton to get us some goals hopefully and we are more optimistic this time. The trick at this level is keeping your bench/back up players happy so they don't leave. Kendal are my tip though.

I think Kendal have been the best footballing side for the last couple of seasons but they always seem to miss out on promotion. Noy sure how FC will do this year. Not expecting too much. Will be happy if we challenge for the play offs.

Ah yeah Steve Torpey as long as he doenst go the length of the feild and score against us again.
we have a few more players in the attack and midfield this season, i am hoping that we can start the season with the promotion team from last season.
i am expecting some tough games against you though, especially New Years Day when we go about breaking the league attendance record.
Norton is ok, he never scored against us but you dont score 40 goals a season and not be good.
i beleive we have some of your old players, didnt Garner and Vardey used to play for you, if so what can we expect from them???

Kendal, never seen my team play them before, they like to play football, should be another tough team, the play offs will do for me though. i am confident if we finish high in the play offs,
anyone can beat anyone at this level though

| Bootle's pre season kicked off with a nice 1-0 win at home to Prescot last night. Lost a couple of players over the summer, Anthony Hickey to Warrington being the biggest blow. Expecting the same sort of season as last, a push towards the top of the table and hopefully a promotion spot with a couple of good cup runs, FA Vase run would be nice

Si Garner was very good at left back in his first season, really consistent. In his second season he had a couple of indifferent games and one against Stalybridge in the cup when their winger roasted him and it affected his confidence. We then signed a better full back and Si got the odd game in midfield but it didn't work out for him.
New Year's day should be a bit special.

| you might have to stand or sit with the shaymen fans Cartman, the North Stand at the shay is no longer safe so won't be opened, so your options might be the new East stand, the south stand, not too sure they will open the Skircoat stand for ya.
depends how large your away support is really, we did accomodate the away fans in the South stand throughout last season with no problems.
i can't wait for that game, i couldnt have picked a better date for the game
